Same here. the cave is the ebst shot. The toen looks a little cluttered to me, better than manys attempts but still a bit too much. The forest looks just like every other forest you see made with the rtp.

I really like your style of maps. It's very overgrown and out of control. You've captured mother nature perfectly! Except, that town map looks a bit odd. :/

Yeah, I really dislike towns and that kind of stuff.. My favorite kinds are nature things.:D Thanks everybody!

The forest needs a more guided path. Although like Arc said, the cave is very inspiring. People lose the concept of being able to see areas you aren't readily able to reach in dungeons. It's a big concept, especially with giving the player reason to check each path and door, in hopes of finally reaching that area.

I took the forest map I made earlier and made into a full forest. I am aware of two issues with debris being under the giant tree trunks, thats already been resolved.

I don't like how the big trees stick out like sore thumbs, as well. I guess I could add some sort of thick grass around the base of the tree, to merge it better. But regardless, comment.

Prexus, I really like the soft tone of your map as well as the lay out. It looks pretty easy to navigate; it's open while not being too open, if you get what I mean. The small, round shrubs seem a little out of place but overall, it's a nice map that I would enjoy walking through.

Prexus : I really like the soft tone of the map, really nice edit with RTP, but I personally think it's too open and doesn't have enough boundaries. I usually don't like maps with paths that allow players to cut corners.

It's coded from scratch in C(++). It is neither a picture overlay, nor a hack. GBA dev isn't easy, and especially not when the book you tried to learn on turns out to be infamous for fatal flaws, the documentation is hazy and disorganised, and between the hundreds of resource convertors, none of them work quite right, most of the time giving the data back to you in every form except unsigned shorts, which is the only type essentially guaranteed to work for all memory addresses. And there's no. Print. Function :rage02: On the other hand, it's all much more fun in the end ^_^

Nice job Roman Candle! Earlier this year I started to learn GBA dev and I agree it can be quite tough to understand, especially if you dont know assembly language, which I didn't a few months ago. I found some good tutorials...ect. contact me if you want. Good luck with it ^^

Aww, but isn't it more fun to define the sprites by hand?

Come on - you know it is.

I thought GBA was fun. Too time consuming for me, though. Nice screen though!

Here are a couple of screenies from my Game; Crystals of Zagolth

This is from the first Proper dungeon of my game. You have gone to investigate a group called the 'Armadro Pirates' after your ship was destroyed by their flagship.

Heading Inside (You use a disguise... But I haven't made that bit, yet...)

Secret caverns below the fortress (You come down the ladder on the left. The door to the 'Inn' is locked)

A brief puzzle. You have to push that cannonball around to knock down the door in the bottom right (which has already been destroyed in this screenie).

AQ troll kept in captivity. The fog is blue to show water vapour is in the air. You eventually cut the water supply to this riim, making it "grow restless" I SMELL A BOSS FIGHT!
