Arr, avast ye!
You scare me sometimes.Roman Candle;204052":1ruw7h9b said:It's coded from scratch in C(++). It is neither a picture overlay, nor a hack. GBA dev isn't easy, and especially not when the book you tried to learn on turns out to be infamous for fatal flaws, the documentation is hazy and disorganised, and between the hundreds of resource convertors, none of them work quite right, most of the time giving the data back to you in every form except unsigned shorts, which is the only type essentially guaranteed to work for all memory addresses. And there's no. Print. Function :rage02: On the other hand, it's all much more fun in the end ^_^

I'm more or less done with the menu in my silent hill-esque game, and the game itself is close to being finished, I hope to have it done in a couple of days or so...

I assume you asked Adele for permission to use the artwork?
Draken;205399 said:I believe lambchop payed Adele for that art.

Alright; Notes:
- I realize there are some trees/flowers that are obviously layered improperly. This is fixed when the game is running, it orders based on priority.
- There are a few windows and doors missing, as well as events.
- I am aware that the top left is empty. You can't see that in-game.
- I'm also aware that there are only six houses. That is a gated community in the castle-area of the town. There is a poverty-level area that exits to the top right.
My major concern here is the area in the top right. I have no idea what to fill that area with. I was considering some sort of Faire, but that would require me to make graphics, so if anyone else has any genius suggestions I am all up for it.
