The Paradigm Template

Yeah, I've been trying to make it so you can frankensprite pieces for a lot of the poses. Cut down on the work. Also, can I see the new poses you've made? The purple hat guy is thus far my only attempt at doing a full-body sprite on this, so I'm not sure how a lot of them will work with clothes. I am gonna make male poses in the next couple days, just fyi, but I don't know if you want to wait for that or what.

And yeah, the hmm pose bothers me a lot too. I'll try doing something else with the arm later; thanks for the tip. I gotta go to class and then do a massive amount of calculus homework, though.

Okay, sorry I haven't done a lot lately; my college assigns an obscene amount of homework, and I am prone to wasting time. @_@

That said, the male template has changed slightly, so if you've sprited anything on it, please update it. I moved the arms down a pixel because it looked kind of weird before. As for male poses, I'm almost done with the first sheet, but updating doesn't take too long, so I'll probably put them all up in one update.

In other news, I am horrible at naming things and like to dither over unimportant details like this for ages to no effect. Sooo what do you guys think? Here are some I'm considering:
- Perigee ('cause it's small and therefore close to the earth...get it...ahahahaha sorry that was terrible) (also I am an egomaniac and sort of want to name it after me)
- Bullet (small and fast--like, to sprite on? *shrug* also sort of relates to the next one)
- Trigger (Sixty suggested it; I referenced CT sprites for several poses while making this, and they're about the same size, but it's not really based on them or anything, so I'm not sure how I feel about such a strong name parallel)
- Hellion (horrible pun to further confuse people who don't know what a perihelion is) (the avatar is a hint, guys)

Got any other suggestions? As you can see, I'm not very good at this. >_>;

They look especially great at 200%. It's good that you're making plenty of poses, it makes them even more appealing.

Those two sprites are so freakin' cute! I love the little purple guy's hat.

Yes, they're designed for use at 200%. :3 The nice thing about this template is that because it's so small, drawing new poses is easy, and they actually have arms and hands you can position (as opposed to stumps like the RTP).

And I'm glad you like sprites; I'm fond of them myself. The purple hat guy is named Mr. Hat. He wears a large hat because he's hiding a turtle named Mr. Hat's Turtle under it.

But in all seriousness, we really don't usually put hands in front of our mouth...it's atypical.

I know, which is why there are two. Also because I just translated it over from the female and there was no point in leaving a blank space on the template. But yeah, the hand laughing pose could be interpreted as trying to suppress laughter; even if guys don't normally do it, you've gotta exaggerate to make the point clear with sprites. Or something. *shrug*

From what you said, it sounded to me like I was the one first suggesting it... and I'm just saying that to tell ya I'm still of the opinion :p

So yeah, just to contribute something, here's my two-minute-sprite edit some already know... but you know, for completeness' sake.

Well, the name's kinda badly recognizeable, but I still like to do what you can do with these... I especially like the guy with the green plate cape... kinda reminds me of the Lufia 2 Sinistrals for some reason...
