Yeah, it's amazing what a difference an extra frame makes. Six frames would be great, but man, I don't hate myself enough to make an entire game full of sprites with six-frame walk animations.

I also updated the first post to indicate the non-commercial use.

Think the back pose still looks kinda iffy, but thoughts? Adapting it for the male shouldn't be too hard, so I guess this is pretty close to done.

I haven't looked especially closely at the male one or tested its animation because I cba at the moment, so let me know if you find anything weird with it. This could probably stand some refinement, but it'll probably look okay with clothes, and a slightly unpolished release is better than no release!

How do we use these, exactly, if there aren't any frames for just standing? Is there a way to make it so that it uses another sprite for idle poses and showing in the menu?

You use a script or a common event or something to make it only use that sprite when walking. There are various ways. You're the developer; you figure it out!
