The last film you saw

Jason

Awesome Bro

My mam made me watch About Time with her last year, and I thought it was shit, like, so fucking bad... not sure how you see it as one of the best films ever written, I can name a dozen off the top of my head, and High School Musical is on that list...

The last film I watched though was Star Trek: Into Darkness last night... first time I'd seen it lol and thought it was fucking brilliant... just like the first, lol.

I come from a family of trekkies, my mom is a bigger fan than 99% of people who've seen into darkness lol.

Not that being a mom would mean anything. We're all huge fans.

Gravity

The movie was OK...It made me realize how terrifyingly stupid we are to put all those satellites in orbit, even static orbit at Lagrange points. I did recently re-watch Into Darkness, and I enjoyed it again. I just like the quality of the movie. Fun stuff!

I just watched the movie "The Veteran" and although the ending was disappointing (I'm used to North American "good guy always wins and pan to the sky" endings) I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A lot of people commend it for its realism (tactics, weapon sounds, effects, death, and other visuals) and although that's not a movie breaker for me it's good to know that the director put a lot of research into it. It's kind of a slow movie (in that it lacks a lot of action) until about half-way into the movie, but those scenes are incredible and definitely trump a LOT of the chase scene/stalk scene/shootouts that I've seen in film so far. I recommend it to people who enjoy films like the Bourne trilogy/The Departed (or Infernal Affairs for you movie elitists).

Thor: The Dark World
Liked it more than the first one. Lots of scenery porn and cool special effects. Lite on the banter and shirtless scenes.
The only thing that broke my suspension of disbelief was when Thor's mother got stabbed and died. With all the advanced technology in Asgard I find it hard to believe they couldn't revive her. But I guess that's a problem with storytelling and advance technology that could fix everything. If she hadn't died Loki wouldn't have helped.

Homefront, with Jason Statham :D

He plays a ex-undercover cop single-parent with a daughter, while recently moved to a "redneck"-town.
Nice to watch, just because of the Std. Jason Statham-esque movie

Tbh, would be better with Jason(-Brist)

Rush.

I didn't go into it with very high expectations, not really liking Formula One or anything, but fuck...

...amazing movie. Not disappointed in the slightest. What an interesting story, and all of it real.

Got it on Bluray though and regretted it. It even had normal commercials at the start (Mars Bar). What the fuck? I paid EXTRA to get it on Bluray. I could have got this shit on box office or whatever, but no, I PAID you an extortionate amount of money, and you put ADVERTS on it before I can get to the menu?

Screw you, I am never buying Blurays again. Well done entertainment industry.

... Quite a few films still have adverts, the reason you pay more for bluray is the picture and sound quality... not to mention with some films you get the extended edition too which is great, lol, not to mention they're only like £5 more than a DVD of the same film, and most of them these days come with a bluray, DVD and digital copy... or for an extra few quid you get a 3D bluray included too, so it's actually better value, lol.

They actually came to me before Statham, but I told them I was too busy with other projects, needless to say they were disappointed...
