You know, it's weird. When I joined (RMXP.org) I thought it would be easy, since I'm good with RPG Maker and I like to talk to people who like RPG Maker and can actually talk about it. I had no idea it would be like this.

Am I a wimp? I'll say no, you'll most likely say yes.

Do I understand everything? Not yet. Working on that.

Am I the RPG Masta? Not even close. I just like it. It's the difference between a hardcore and casual-yet-quite-skilled game player... or in this case, maker.

Do I have a childish way of saying things/make tangents? Maybe I do. I can't seem to help it... yet...

Am I 12 or younger? No.

Am I backing down from this site? Absolutely not.

@Dadevster

Can I stand up to criticism? Yes. Always. I just couldn't tell they were criticising at first rather than insulting.

Do I write in 1000 pt. font? Of course not! (Doesn't go that high. )

Did I use a 99 pt. font? Yes, but then I shrunk it once I cooled down.

Do I have a lot of energy? Not when I need it, that's for sure.

Am I humorous? I am praised for my sense of humor.

Am I rambling? Why, yes, I believe so.

Aaaah, shoot. What would qualify me, then?

A more mature attitude? Less outbursts (ridiculous fonts)? Less questions asked?

If it's that last one, you can't blame me. In my younger years, I was never communicating on the 'net, so my experiences are all fairly recent.
stop fucking censoring your posts for one.

Censorship? Oh, come on. You're shitting me.

Although, I must admit, this right here is a very childish response, but I actually like censoring. Just don't feel like swearing for real.

Although, I am getting help from random members again.

then avoid the words altogether???

if you dont feel like actually swearing, why bother? censoring is bothersome and tiring, it also lacks the stress releaving effect of certain words.

Okay... I now have remastered the plot!

of course, when I say that, I actually mean I haven't finished it yet or anything...

I will edit the first post later today with the update when I get home, I’m currently in school… :tongue2:

Rey_J, avoid double-post (you posted two times in a row). When in need to put additional information, edit your last post.

I looked the entire thread, and have few observations to make:

a) The Robespierre reference: You do know history is very important, right? Learning our past mistakes to prevent future ones?
b) You're not twelve or younger, but I do believe everyone here is curious, but shy of asking: How old are you?
c) Sprite Making Techniques: You need to improve that. They're better than anything I would try (I'm 21 y.o.), but they're not on a level of quality to show around on a forum. Work harder and show the results after you're (and at least two more trustful friends) sattisfied with the result.
d) I've too wanted to make a Super Smash Bros game when young, but the idea never came out of the paper: Too much variables (this is not the RGSS variables) to control. If you don't organize it now, in the middle of your adventure you won't know where to go with the story. Plan ahead, make later.

Good luck with your game!

Yeah... the double-post... sorry. Never make that mistake again.

Answer Key

A) So I didn't learn about him. Big deal.
B) Profile edited...
C) For the last time, I already know I need to improve. What I would like to know, thoguh, who trustful friends would be in this case--like, admins, mods, just plain members, and critiquing members, right?
D) You're right, I'm right, we're all right, all right! (In other words, I'm good. It's not SSB in the sense that there are characters, stages, etc., but rather it's SSBB in the sense of SSE Advanced.)

a) It is a big deal. Only a fool ignores the past. Please, be kind and learn to love learning.
b) Thank you.
c) Friends. Real life friends: Brother/Sister/School Friends.
d) No coments necessary.

Thank you for accepting the help and ideas of other people. Afterall, you're in a forum, so the other's opinions must have some weight in your work.

Work hard, work better.

Problem with returned C) answer: They all loved the T sprite as flat as he was here, which you all hated (by hate I of course am referring to its quality, not it itself).

And I do love learning, just not history. And I don't necessarily always ignore it...

Wait, what'd I say a second ago?? (Seriously, R._J, stop with these bad jokes!)

Why does this thread still exist? I thought these sort of threads were locked =/
It's nothing but a spamfest, and I doubt it's going to get any better (And even if it does, there are still gonna be a zillion posts that will probably stop anyone taking it seriously).
This needs a LOCK. And Rey can start a new thread when he feels he is ready.

Look who's returned to the thread. With a point. Kudos to you, though you were sarcastic in your first couple posts, you weren't a spammer.

Huh... weird. First it was Project Discussion, then it was Concept Development, then Project Discussion again, now Concept Development...

First it was a project, then it was degraded and now it's a concept. And the only reason it's a concept right now is because I can't map and event at light speed.

Or should I say, Godspeed.

What I would like to know, thoguh, who trustful friends would be in this case--like, admins, mods, just plain members, and critiquing members, right?

post a topic in resource analysis. i'll tear you apart if you want. i like giving criticism

No, it's a concept because you don't know what the fuck you're doing. (On the storyline side, as opposed to gameplay). I'm ridiculously slow at rmxping but my game has a full (enough) concept, and I know all the main events that will happen in my game.

It's concept development because you haven't fully developed your concepts (in fact, you've barely started). It's project discussion because you've already started your project. Spend an hour or two brainstorming a decent story, Characters, History, whatever. Then you can:

A. Decide it needs work (it will) and post in concept development, asking for crit and suggestions for it.
B. Decide to stick with it, and start a new thread that is less crap, that tells us what you have written for your game.

I personally recommend you don't post in this subforum for a week or two, while you get your shit together. Then we'll be happy to see what progress you've made.

Yeah, the reason your real life friends like it was because they don't have the same sense of standards that the actual game development community does. Some people here are simply amazing, so we have the bar set a bit higher. Your friends have probably never tried to sprite, so their viewpoint is more entry-level -- and while the sprites are decent for just getting into spriting, they won't fly in an actual game yet. They're nothing to be ashamed of since you're just starting out, but the fact that you're coming along nicely doesn't mean that you're ready for primetime just yet.

You have to understand, compliments are nice and sometimes useful, but never use compliments as an excuse to stop trying to improve.
