Super Smash Bros. Brawl - (SPOILERS)

^ Agreed. For some reason, I get the feeling a Capt. Olimar/Louie will be in there somewhere. I'm thinking the Pikmin as an assist trophy.
 
Pichu actually was fun to play with, Mewto was just a chunk of fanservice, and crappy fanservice at it. Jiggs is a great character, both in SSB and SSBM.

The new Fire Emblem stage is ok, though I'd have suspected they would take an actual setting. Not to mention I thought it could've been a hyrule-like level. Guess SSBB will focus on chaos too much for my likings (see Mario's football game)
 
So long as they put in lots of tournament capable stages. So far, the castle seems scripted, which means it could be used for tournies(any static stage, or stage with scripted movements usually has a half decent chance for tourny legal, unless they have a game breaking property, like Hyrule temple).

As for Ike being announced, pretty cool. He's always been a popular lord amoung English and Japanese players alike. I would have liked to see Hector(sure, he was broken, but he was so awsome) or Lyn(Smash needs more female characters...not to mention that Lyn would be pretty cool to use), but Ike's definetly a great choice. I'm still pretty sure that Marth will be in, since he's the first FE lord. It's like taking out Mario, but still having Yoshi in. Only thing I'm dissapointed with is that the models for FE 10 don't look nearly as good as SSBB Ike lol.

I also wonder what they're going to do with Snake.... Here's to hoping he does something absolutely awsome with the box. I'd perfer a Belmont for a smash game, but Snake is awsome already. I just hope they keep him balanced. I'd love to use him as a main(as I've said before, I love you Snake, I really do, but I just won't buy a PS3 for you), but if he's too powerful(as in, not even tourny legal), or too weak(think: Mewtwo), then I won't use him.

And what of Ganny dammit!?!?
 
I'm still rooting for Ganny to get a new move set. One that actually fits him. Hopefully he'll also be able to transform in Ganon, like Bowser into Giga Bowser when it grabs a pretty smashball.
 
I don't care if he transforms into Ganon, so long as he gets a good, new moveset period. I mean, sure, I main him now in SSBM(He's alot easier for me to use then Marth....), and he's pretty freaking awsome/fun right now, but really, he's nothing more then a clone with an awsome stomp. I want him to cleave someone dammit!
 
I wonder what fighting style he'd have though, considering there's different types. There's the magic-flinging Ganon from Ocarina of Time, the dual-katana wielding one from Windwaker, and then there's TP Ganon.



I'm rooting for the Windwaker style honestly.
 
Todays Update = 4 Thumbs Up

SSBB's adventure mode looks literally, kick ass. SSBM's adventure mode was, imo, good but this new one is off the charts. To think this adventure mode can exist with one of the greatest multiplayer games of all time is great.

I like the screens, such as Yoshi and Link seeing the Halberd or w/e

It looks like loads of fun. Also, on a side note, peach looks good with her umbrella. At the moment though, the video is still (very slowly) downloading.

Also, I heard that in an interview, one of the SSBB artists confirmed that Shiek and Gannondorf were in.
 
Very nice update indeed... that mode reminds me a lot of the Contra series, which is one of my favourite game series overall. I can't wait to test out Fox' blaster on those Hammerbros! >:]

For Shiek and Ganondorf, I wouldn't even believe it if some of the artist would'Ve really said it, but overall, I think it's a rumor. Either way, it's a ray of light shining on us Shiek- and you Ganondorf-players :p
 
Yeah, I looked this up just now as well, and here's the full interview, I suppose... and well, I guess he doesn't say those characters are in definately, he just says they worked on the design and stuff... which I'm sure they did for a lot of characters, as that's a common in the game design process (2/3 of all artworked characters don't get used). And well, it seems a bit dumb to give that away so easily... but still, the ray of light I mentioned earlier breaks through the clouds and lights the area ^_^

Let's see if we get a Dojo update to confirm or decline it soon.
 
Actually, I was pretty skeptical about this game but after seeing some of those screenshots, and the vid it looks like it might be fun after all.
 
Ganny better get in... And I hope that if he keeps a single move from his SSBM moveset, that he gets the stomp.... nothing says pwned like making your opponent's skull say hi to their stomach. As for Shiek, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'd love to see what a TP styled Shiek would look like(since most of the Zelda chars will probably be TP styled, to match Link).

That, and Jigs will definetly be in. He's one of the most popular pokemon in Japan. Pichu better get the hell out. I hope mewtwo gets in, but they don't make him suck this time.

Also, Nintendo should show Monolith some love and throw in Kalas. What better way to 'greet' your new developer then to put one of their first Nintendo exclusive characters on? Oh well, one can hope.... Besides, so much blue hair going around these days...

But yeah this game looks awsome. December is a ways off though =( Also, yoshi is most likely going to be in. Theyve allready confirmed Yoshi's Island as a stage. And hes been in since the first, whats the chance theyre going to remove him?

I got my doubts on this one, it looks like fun sure, but there's the problem of switching.

If you switch, will the game pause? That will be rather annoying if the player or cpu keeps switching out. If the pok?mon is called back it can escape a deadly blow, also making this character invincible. If there isn't a pause, you're screwed if you get low on stamina and close to the enemy, as they will prepare a well timed smash, or worse, falcon punch/DK punch/Charge beam/etc. and will either massively damage the pok?mon that comes out or even ohko it if the damage meter is a bit up. Which would make the character screwed on one-on-one battles or just on small maps.

Maybe nintendo found good ways to prevent all of this, but it's starting to look very gimmicky. If this characters works properly, it'll be awesome, but I have my doubts.
 
Soulution1.Maybe they keep the same damage meter? Hence the soulution to the switching problem.

Soulution2. they might have their damage meters divided by 3 as well.
