The only thing I wanna see on the en/uk SSBB website is a release date. I don't wanna find out that it's coming in 2009 or whatever. *shudders at PAL release dates*

December 3rd 2007 for America.. so add 6-9 months to that.

I just want to play as Giga Bowser =)

I must say, although the stages themselves have been rather boring, they are very visually appealing.

I've already pre-ordered my copy, so hopefully I'll be able to brawl all night on Dec. 3rd

True, then again, blame the competitions for not allowing stages such as pok?floats, in which Fox can get some serious problems, and to always make it one on one, rather than a 4 player mayhem.

Floats is allowed, just not as a starter pick. What seperates it from similar stages is that it has a predetermined order, so skill still comes into play over randomness. It's a good counter pick, that's for sure(assuming you lost the first match...).

Has anyone heard about anything on Zero Suit Samus? As in, will she be a completely different character or something like the Zelda/Sheik thing?

Well, i really dont like that we in europe need to wait. and thats becuse it need to be translated to france, spanish, german. I only need it in english but not all pll understand english so i guess thay need to translate.. in sweden we we find it weird if games would be in swedish, it just sound weird and film are allways with text and never dubbed.

oh, yes back to the subject.. I find it look great, SSBM was my played game on the GC so i would guess this will be my most played on Wii

BTW. befor some people will pick on me, i must say that i think its good that they translate but i just find it annoying to wait for some languages that i will not use. But its not only the translation that is the problem for the delay. =)

For Zamus, I also don't think that any of Samus' attacks will get taken out to make a transform fit it, but there's also another possibility: The one you can see in the first trailer (Samus does that uber charge attack, most likely her Ultra Smash-Attack, and loses her armor as an effect of that). Though I think that heavily sucks because it'd require you to play with items to play Zamus, I think that that's the most likely thing they'll do... well, I think Sakurai doesn't care much about competitional gaming like I prefer it, he'll go more like "The whole family will have the most fun playing with items"... well, Prexus the smartass, assured me that it'll be a seperate character to 100%, but since he can't know it, I don't believe him XD

@Snow: It's not like Nintendo'd take that long just for the translation... it's more like they simply don't care... also, they need time to strip funny features from the original versions (like Shiek's chanthrow, Samus' extended grappling beam, ...), which also includes the lack of online playing capability from europe to the US, since they have different version numbers, so yay for everything in europe being fucked-up... did I say enough? ^^

I was under the impression that Sheik wasn't announced as a separate character in SSBM, and was later proven wrong. So yes, there is a chance that Zero Suit Samus is Samus, after a transform or her Super Smash. I just find it highly unlikely, since the character is pretty self-sufficient. Although, it does seem like it'd play a lot like Solid Snake, except with a grapple beam.

Another part of Europe's localization taking a while is converting the game to PAL format.

I think Sakurai said something about Samus and Zamus being the same character. Besides, this is a new game people. New game means new mechanics, and new mechanics means more possibilities. We may have more then just the standard B and A for attacks this time around(I mean, how would you activate your brawl attacks without another way? They're not automatic, that's for sure)..

BlueScope 1 : 0 Prexus

It's pretty sad, though, as they're wasting a character. Then again, it's of course possible that they add a way to use Zamus from the begin of a match as well, like holding A down before the match starts playing with Zelda to spawn as Shiek in SSBM... if Sakurai won't do this, well... farewell to a cool character for competitive play... would be too bad.

Haha, didn't see that coming to be very honest (seriously not). I am with scope on this one though, they should have a way to use Zamus at the start of a fight. Many Sheik players would be seriously screwed already without it, now imagine samus having to find a smash ball first.

Hey, what is it with the new update in smash DOJO!!! ? It looks so strange, it may seem Brawl might have an actual storyline, but I'm confused. Is Meta Knight the main boss in this game? And what's with the weird looking machine in the last picture? Strange...

Dude what the crap? "Zomg Bowser&ridley in 'em clouds, forces of good and evil showdown!!!!"

I'm just going to hope that if the single player has not such a weird story, but this is just the intro or something. If it does have a story, I hope all cutscenes and intermezzos are skipable with a quick press on the A-button.

Though the other option mentioned here, even though it's rather stupid to assume there's co-op if 2 characters shake hands, a co-op with a HUMAN PLAYER NOT NPC would be nice, makes the previous 1 player mode a lot more fun (and easy probably)

Well, unlike the rest of the world apparently, I think that the singleplayer mode is entertaining as well, and speaking of which TT was awesomely challenging in Melee... so I'm arms-wide-open to new singleplayer modes, though I assume that possible cutscenes will be skipable... I think they should invest the space they need for those scenes in additional characters, though...

Also, optional Co-Op would rock, but Singleplayer wouldn't be the correct term then anymore... I can already see Nintendo thinking of something like "Ultimate Brawl Experience Mode" XD

Oh, also, another topic to discuss: Do you think that online play will work global, or will the games be restricted to the respective version zone (like PAL, NTSC, JP)?

Well, for the single player, the best part was the high-score. Very hard was like "hm, I actually gotta watch what I'm doing a bit", though last time I played it I actually lost 2 lives. It's entertaiming for a while, and they sure put effort into it seeing 3 different modes to choose from, a training, and event battles (hich were admittingly, very fun to do). I'm rooting they'll put in just as much effort in that also. I am not ready for a dissapointment.

I'm hoping worldwide (willed self to own fzghoul), but I dunno. Don't actually have any nintendo/wii games that can be played online.

EDIT; Also, God, I am getting all in the SSBM-mood again, been a while. Gonna invite some friends over =)
