I remember seeing what I'm assuming was Kirby's Final Smash in the very first SSBB video (where Snake was unvealed as a character) where he boils the enemy in a pot, and I'm really, REALLY praying that they won't keep that as his final smash. (As you can tell, I use Kirby as my main fighter in all the SSB games) I'd like to see something in his Final Smash with him riding a star slashing away with his sword. But one can only wish... -.-

It's almost certain that Roy, Doc, and Pichu won't get in, Megaflare. G&W and Ice Climbers(I know, it kinda sucks, considering they're the most unique character in the game) also have chances for being cut.

Doc and Pichu are just cheap, quick add-ons that weren't really needed(although having two friends perfectly time skull bashes into each other is absolutely hilarious), G&W and IC aren't that popular, and Roy isn't popular at all, not to mention that the only reason he was in was to advertise FE6(SSBM was released before FE6, FYI). I'd say that G&W and IC have a better chance to get in then Roy.

I doubt they'll put in clones besides Luigi back in. Maybe if they get altered movesets, but I don't see Roy, Doc, and Pichu getting in. Especially not Roy as they confirmed Ike. They're working so hard on new and unique ideas, so it seems rather illogical seeing clones back to me.

I'm about 100% sure that you can't play as any Pokemon in Brawl per se. They've got the Pokemon trainer, and you switch between different pokemon during the match if you pick him.

Just no update concerning him yet. If he's unlockable, chances are that he won't be displayed until the game is out.

I'm just basing this on popularity. IC weren't popular in the first place, but Sakurai put them in over characters like Balloon fighter because IC had the potential to be a very unique and cool character. I'd imagine that G&W is there mostly as a tribute to Gunpei Yokoi, who died in 1997. Depending on how much Sakurai feels that G&W derserves to get in, he may or may not get in as a playable character, IMO. But I'm pretty sure that he'll get in the game in some form(He always struck me as more or an assist trophy character really).

Mother is the name for the entire Japanese version of the series. Earthbound is the name for the english translation.

Diddy looks sweet. It seems DK finally has a partner now. Also, I would like to see more screenshots of him to get a better view of his moves. But, I can sort of tell he will be a little bit over medium tier. Peanut gun = win.

Although the peanut gun is pretty freaking cool(even I have to admit that... any weapon that fires/is made of any plant or animal is freaking awsome in my book), I have to say that I hate everything else about Diddy. I don't mind him being in the game, but he'll be one of those characters I really enjoy beating the crap out of in creative ways, but for some reason, he just rubs me the wrong way.

Still, the more characters, the better. So long as they can be kept balanced.
