Geno would be a massive surprise! It would be so cool to have Geno or Mallow as a character, but SMRPG:LoSS was never released in Europe and the SSB creators said that they are trying to keep Japanese only characters out of SSB:B.

Uh, Super Mario RPG came out in North America, dude. Also, every character in that game except Mario, Peach, and Bowser is owned by Square. Geno made a guest appearance in Mario and Luigi on the GBA but I doubt he'll appear in Brawl as anything other than a trophy.

As long as they don't remove his uppercut that could somehow kill people instantly. Jigglypuff was another overpowered character that I always rocked at.

What are you talking about? Without those few moves, they would suck. Jigglypuff has TWO good moves... AND ONE only disables movement for a few seconds. Why would you want to take away Jiggly's pride and joy.

Personally all hope goes to if all the duplicate Characters are coming back. You know like Ganondorf, Young Link, Falco, and Dr. Mario. Falco + Young Link = Beast Mode.

That's what I was talking about, her down+b (waves of pain or something like that... forgot the official name).

However, DO NOT underestimate her lullaby. I've won many tournaments with it by using a simple strategy: toss your opponent towards the edge of the ring, wave dash towards them, then sing. With practice, you can time it so that you put the character to sleep right when they recover from a throw and they fall asleep and fall off the stage.

Also, his lullaby is useful for setting up pokemon attacks. If you get a legendary pokemon or snorlax, you can nab an entire crowd by putting them to sleep if they're gathered in one place and then wave dash out the area. Effective use of jigglypuff requires the wave dash because he moves so slowly but he's one of the better characters in the game if you know how to use him (just like ness).

It's called rest. And, yeah, lullaby does have some uses, I just definately find it to be one of her least useful moves. Then again, I rarely to never play her. I main Yoshi, so I'm not the number one expert on her.

Jigglypuff does insanely well at aireal combat, and is also very fun to use. The sing is soleley for strategic purposes and edge-guarding (a very safe way disabling a second attempt to recover). That it doesn't work well on NPC's, also note their broken powershield-succes rate, doesn't mean it can still be very effective.

I don't give much for tiers. I mean really, my main is Yoshi (except for 1 on 1 battles), who is mainly a multiple strategy character making it nice to do some mind play with (and he has a great wavedash helping him escape if something goes wrong). My second favourite would be Jigglypuff and my main in 1 on 1 would probably be Marth, followed by Sheik, which is a lot more tier-based I guess...

But back to Brawl, Lyn means we'll have a Hector assist trophy too, with which I hope they'll be a lot more creative.
As for the Metaknight stage, still missing on the very large stages which I find quite dissapointing.
The Special Brawl should prove fun.
Ice Climbers, I adore them, too bad they suck though.

Just remember that you can't use items in tournies.

Anyway, tiers are nice and all, but they shouldn't define who you choose your character by. I played with Marth for a very long time, and although I was somewhat decent, he was never quite the character for me. One day, I decide to seriously try Ganondorf out. And to my amazement, he fits me perfectly(word to the unwise, he's faster then he looks). He may only be mid tier(low-mid tier at that), but his playstyle fits me better then any character. And that's what matters most.

Also, W00T! ICECLIMBERS ARE BACK!

Jigglypuff is a guy

And although her attack is called rest, I could have sworn Nintendo Power referred to it as a different name when you pull off the instant-kill hit called Walls of Pain or something.

No. Wall of pain is an airial attack stratagy using Jiggs' Bair to keep an opponent off stage, and his awsome airial movement to allow you to keep using it. Here, watch this video, you'll see a few examples of it(along with some wicked Jiggs gameplay).

Huh. I never refered to his aerial moves by that name and I always dubbed it 'Puffy Kick.' No wonder the people at tournaments always gave me confused looks and snickered behind my back. I hate internet fanbase

Yay for confirmed worldwide online playing, everyone... I have my blacklist of people in here I can definately beat now, so let's have a Brawl when it's out... prepare, Jack! ;)

Jiggy could be either one, as Pok?mon tend to have genders... and as nothing's specified, it could really be male or female, but yeah... the common reference to her is that she's female, so let's stick with that, shall we? :p

When Melee came out, it was before pokemon crystal or whatever the GBA version was that introduced breeding and genders. All pokemon were either male or gender neutral unless otherwise noted. In the anime, manga, card game, and canon novels Jiggy is referred to as a male. There's only one book ever with a female jigglypuff and it's not considered canon by the original creator.

So yeah, he's a guy. Nintendo got some emails a few years back so they changed their reference for all pokemon to gender neutral "it" which kind of pissed me off. I hate political correctness. Jiggly's a guy
