I don't get why you don't think that we'd take them seriously? A lot happens that members don't see, to ensure that the forum continues to run smoothly and without any problems. Don't assume shit.
Atemu just happens to be one of the best moderators that we have, and personal problems with a few members isn't changing that. We stick by our decision.
That is understood, but that being said, what was the point of the topic in the first place? It seems more like "We asked for fun, you answered, and we pretended to listen".Despain":1ls7etr8 said:

The vote I think was unnecessary, but the comments were pretty solid (outside bickering). And we all know YOU don't like Atemu, Holloway, but from what we've heard from multiple others, she's doing fine.
Not to mention, it was a good chance to really focus on a few problems that we can try to solve. So it wasn't for nothing, it did serve a very important purpose, which may not be instantly noticeable, but will in time.
I mean, did anyone honestly expect we were going to rip the site from TREG, Des, and Atemu, just because they got a high vote? No, of course not. But it let them know that they have a few things to clean up in the way they do things, and that's important.

Perhaps not generally, but the people who constantly complain about specific moderators I can see getting even more angry because of their promotion. I suppose you're right, though. If they don't like it, they can always leave. (But then they don't always leave and end up spewing baw all over the forum)
Yeah ... Unfortunately, the people who don't like Atemu are usually the baw spewers.

Seriously, people. There'll always be a staff member you dislike/hate, but You'll have to learn to live with them. Atemu has her own style of Moderatin' just like Venetia's, seducing distractions, Des', quips and knockoffs, Teloch's, quick wit and down-to-earth-ness, and Sixty's wisdom. You love some and you hate some, but this is a game making forum, so lets get back to making games.

Congrats on the promotions.
One thing that stuck out very quickly is the relationship between the new Globals.
Since they all communicate, there's a chance that we'll see more consistency in the moderating.
I think that will help with the 'professionalism' issue. No need to change personalities or self-censorship.
Moderating should be mostly 'objective' anyways.
