SPORE IS HERE!

......So now I'm on the Space Stage, finally...I'm on easy difficulty and I'm having trouble with a race already, lol. This is race is like, too strong for me to take on (wait, is there a way to add your OWN fighters with your spaceship?) right now, and keeps attacking my home base....making it hard for me to go around and colonize other planets and stuff...so...HELP!!! lol Tips would be nice, thanks.

when you start off always allie you don't want to get on bad sides until you have a lot of turrets (they old off longer....)

no you can't add your own ships only allies.

when you get allies some spices will be sold by allies at low prices and bought in other areas of there empire for large amounts... ive sold 25 blue spice for 25,000 each......

and 10 green/blue spice for 50,000 each bought at 10000

I've always allied with other races, but this one all of the sudden (and randomly) became my enemy. So I've been trying to ally with others right now but these enemy/pirate attacks are becoming far too annoying.

I know what you mean, I was on brink of ending a species when they allied with one of mine and they both started attacking ALL my cities!!

So, I just figured out, that in the space age, the closer you get towards the center of the universe, the smaller distance your able to travel per star. Anyone else notice this? I'm still trying to figure out a way around it, but not having any luck. Also, anyone tried taking on the Grox yet? O.o Man, I can't get a break with them.

The space stage is getting kind of annoying. I want to explore, but my planets are getting attacked almost constantly. I mean, there are species who hates me and I can't go to war with them! I want to just outright attack them, but I only have 1 ship and 2 allied ships.

I have 5 allies and can take five ships with me (including mine 6), every race, that was hostile against us is dead by now. Only problem remaining: The Grox.
Man those guys are hard to defeat. I destroyed three of their planets and thought I had them... Just to figure out that they have so many of them that I can't think of a way to defeat them all....
I am saving money now to buy some strong weapons to have at least some advantage.
has anyone come up with a good strategy?

Is there anyway to actually not destroy other species? Say you want to play a pacifist race or something. Can you ally those who initially hate you (outside the Grox).

I actually got the money to buy a bunch of atmospheric changing devices and went to an enemy's home planet and fired them there to screw the planet up. lol
They actually surrendered there too and gave me the planet, it was awesome...er, of course now I have a messed up planet to take care of now...>_>

I guess if you are fast enough to dodge their attacks and give them loads of money they could become friendly. Never tried it though.

Space age is a pain in the ass.. it's stupid that you can only control that one ship (minus the allies) while 7348978432 planets get attacked at the same time with your allies crying for help even though they have ships flying all over the place.. then they gradually start to hate you cause you don't protect them. If they had made space age more like an RTS it would be perfect. The camera for space age while on a planet is stupid too. You can't even zoom out to see more because then your ship just moves too far from the enemies to attack them.. and when I even adjust the camera to be somewhat tolerable, it just adjusts itself anyway when I move my ship. Space age is fine when you first get in it and you're exploring, but they ruined the overall fun factor by making you control one lousy ship. I'm done with the game.

I agree they could have made it better, but I myself am far from done. I'm having a lot of fun messing around with planets, getting new colonies and stuff. When my allies get attcked I just ignore them. And when they start disliking me, I give them money to like me again. Haha. My main goal now is to take out the grox. Once I beat them, then I'll feel like I've accomplished something.  One thing is for sure though, I can't wait until I get the invisibilty thing for my ship. That will help so much.

Cell stage is the best, hands down, end of discussion. The only way it could be better is if it was multiplayer, had more cell parts and was actually endless. You could just play it for hours, and it would never get boring. Land phase would've been fun too, but I remember spore originally planned for you to eventually become so big in cell phase that, before you developed lungs, you developed gills and would do a version of land phase underwater. The fact that that never happened just sucks.

The reason why its so much fun is because as you play, you watch as these giant behemoth monster cells who simply tower over you constantly, eventually become tiny meat snacks that even become too small to notice they're being swallowed. Multiplayer cell phase would most certainly be the shit in terms of anything ever made. Its simplistic, easy to control, and unless they release Fable 2 as pc game as well, it would be the best thing on the PC until Diablo 3.

Maybe I'm exaggerating, but if anyone else agrees with me on the cell phase thing, please say so. Its just a lot of fun.

hmmm i don't know about cell stage being the best its ok but the best i don't think so.... i really like the civilization stage and the tribe stage, space stage is alright but gets boring after a while. i also wish there were more planets to start games on..... i have a ton of games now......

I jsut reached the center of galaxy and i know EVERYTHING... not really, but still cool.
I have the most powerful weapons and shields and such before i even met the grox. When I finally found them, I made a break for the center, zooming from system to system until finally arriving at my goal.

I was kinda getting worried by the amount of systems the grox control, but it all went well.

Hey I'm Venetia1010 on Spore if any of ya'll wanna friend me ;)

I reached the galaxy with one creature, then I decided I hated it, and made another creature. I'm in the galaxy stage but my favorite stage by far is the creature stage. I wish there were some way to control it from a creature POV even in the later stages. Like, as an option. That would be so cool, navigating around my cities and alien planets and stuff, from a close-up perspective.

what a dumbass

yes, the game is terrible because of the activation system.

thats like me saying a restaurant's food is awful because the server was rude.
