Saddest On-Screen Death

Fav Endings

BEST MOVIE EVER!. Jack sucked, Tyler was His better Half

Loved the Ending, Even though It got abit faggy at the end. LOL HE GOT OWNED

Enough said....

Harrry Potter Goblet of Fire
Even though I was expecting Cedric's death I couldn't believe I actualy cried

Spider Man 3
Harry Osbourn shouldn't of died in that movie, It was saddening how he sacrificed for his best bud and how he died next to MJ was sad

Jim's Parents, the note they wrote on the back of his picture was very sad. Not to mention like 5 minutes later in the film you see the disturbing hack-to-death of one of the guys that originally saved him by the other one

When the eldery hippy character (name is lost to me) distracts the group of people searching for the main characters. Previous to his death, he administers a 'suicide' type drug to his dependent wife, which is sad enough as it stands. He then proceeds out of his home, where he is confronted with the pursuers. He, being an elderly hippy, holds out his hand and says "Pull my finger." which had been a gag from earlier in the movie. The pursuer proceeds to shoot his finger off. He reels in pain, picks up his finger, and throws it at his assailant. He is then shot in the leg, forcing him to the ground, then shot again in the chest.

It may have had significant impact on me, however, since the character both in appearance and mannerisms had reminded me of my father.

oh god I forgot about that one. That part is terrible. That whole movie is basically sad-death after sad-death

Okay, somebody here definitely does not watch 24. I have to say that at least 2 of my top 5 were on 24, and maybe one from Prison Break.

Don't look at 5 unless you have seen 5/7/07's 24.
Milo Pressman - I honestly didn't see milo dying at this point. If he was gonna die it should have been when he was getting Marylin to CTU earlier in the season, and he should have gotten a silent Clock.

Cedric Diggory - I wasn't quite fond of this character, he was a noble person though. I had read the books alot and knew he dies, but they did a very good job of portraying it on screen, even if the rest of the movie sucked.

Haywire - When Haywire committed suicide in season two by jumping off the silo I almost actually cried at this point. He will never get to holland.

Tony Almeida - Definitely one of the saddest deaths in 24 history. I can't believe that they didn't give him a silent clock, the way he dies in Jack's hands reminded me of Teri Bauer's death.

Ryan Chappelle - One of the saddest things I have ever seen on TV. At every moment I kept saying someone was gonna come in and save him but they never did. I did actually Cry during this part, the first time I ever cried during a show/movie.

Hmm... I would definately have to say that MGS had some of the best deaths.

Meryl's death (although you can prevent it) is quite sad cause she was quite young. Seeing her get ripped apart by sniper wolf's bullets was pretty devastating.

Sniper Wolf's Death - One of those beautiful deaths. She was one of the few respectable villains, and I think I had shed a tear when she died.

Gray Fox - A true patriot, to the very end.
Elle's death was horrible! I cried a lot especially when the annoying parrot started saying Hal. Damn you Vamp!
The Boss's death was the most beautiful scene I have ever seen in a game. It was necessary, but it totally devastated me. Especially by the fact that Big Boss (Snake), had to kill her when he was in love with her. (They were in a relationship for 10 years.)

First off, Tidus did not die in FFX As you see the ending in FFX-2 was returned from FFX. At the end of the credits in FFX Titus gains concienceness and heads for the surface... but thats not the point.

I think the most tragic thing in FFX wasn't a death. It was when Tidus just found out that Yuna would have to sacrifice herself. Quite similar to a Walk to Remember when the guy finds out Mandy Moore's character has luekemia.

Oh, and the "sendings" were just plain haunting.

Okay, FFXII Didn't have many sad deaths, but it had many traumatic ones. Such as the death of Ashe's husband in the begining, and the Death of Vaan's brother. Oh, and the old fart in the mountain, that was pretty intense.

Air TV
Can't remember the name since it's been too long, but the main little girl character at the last episode. Oh, Kanna too. Not too much to say about it really, but it was pretty sad. Too bad the show is hardly popular.

He wasn't in love with her, it went deeper then that. It was more then maternal, and more then platonic.

also, someone has to say it....
BERNIE!
I can never look at hamburger in the same way again.... such a sad death, made even sadder by the fact that at that point in the story, it had become absolutely meaningless. The cruelty of war.

Back when I liked Pokemon, and I went to see the First Movie...
I cried when Ash got turned to stone. It's weird because I never really liked him at all.
And others...
Kuja's death. He was my favorite character and I understood him very well. Mikoto's monologue after his death made it even sadder.
Not sure if anyone died during that scene, but I just have to say how much I thought I was gonna cry when Squall gave his speech over the intercom. That was beautiful.

Technically not on screen, since music doesn't have screens.

Ayreon's death in TFE didn't really get to me the first time I heard it. Actually at first it seemed like LOL PEACE END WAR LOVE EARTH. But after hearing Carried by the Wind and The Dream Sequencer in general, I've not been able to listen to it without getting just a little upset. He didn't change a thing and he died for nothing.

The Mars Colonist. He's travelled to the beginning of time and fact, just wanting to see Earth with his own eyes. He comes so close and then dies.

The Highlander. Seriously, he died and everyone else happily walked on.

Also the pasty. It's gone.

you have no idea how much i love you

also what@the road to terebithia. there was a sequel?

Petros, the saddest on-screen death is obviously from Bridge to Terabithia when Leslie dies. I cried for three hours and repeated to myself, "Why the hell'd she have to die? She was a little girl." Then it gets sadder when someone asks if she goes to hell cause she isn't baptist. :'( It was the saddest moment of my life, and I never want to see that movie again! lol Of course, the end of Click was really sad too when Adam Sandler dies trying to tell his family he loves them. All I can do is argue at this point! :)

Well when Hughes died on FMA I cried.
Wolfwood from Trigun.
THE KITTY FROM FMA I CRIED REALLY HARD! It was pregnant...
That's all I can think of.

When Aeris died I was SO FREAKIN HAPPY!

Mario dies fro a Banzai Bill, I literally cried(I also cried during hte ending...for some reason).

Mine
Hughes and both Elric brothers from FMA.

Spike from Cowboy Bebop.

Curtis Lamensky in season 5 of The Shield. This one really got me.

Maximus in Gladiator.

Boromir in FotR.

William Wallace in Braveheart.

Madeline Stow's little sister and the Mohican's son in The Last of the Mohicans. The entire scene coupled with the mucis is very powerful.

Tom Hanks in Philidelphia.

Owsman in Pay it Foward.

Pesci in With Honors.

Jeff Bridges in Arlington Road.

Decaprio in The Departed wasn't so much as sad as it was total suckage that the good guy got crapped all over, then killed.

Just about everyone in Saving Private Ryan. Especially the doctor.

Denzel Washington in Man on Fire.

Everyone in Glory.

The list could go on and on, so I'll stop here for now.

Lion in FFXI.

I SO AGREE... why leslie...why?

also, sandler did a great job depressing me throughout that movie... he was so out of his normal, idiotic character, it was great imo.

Uh, when did Leslie die on screen? They just made references to it.

For me it was Ofelia in Pan's Labryinth. Throughout the movie you never know if she's hallucinating or seeing real monsters but seeing her smile in her last moments of breath as she moved on to her "eternal kingdom" was a fantastic metaphor.

I know! I wanted to hunt down the author, since its based off a book, and say "Change the book now!". It was so sad.
