Saddest On-Screen Death

Maybe I'm a final fantasy 7 fanboy
but the death in this was great! The music, sad in she eyes and evil Sepihirtoh sign :D It's very sad. I cried on this :(
And in FFX
Tidus have passed away in awsome music! I really enjoyed this music. And when
he ran into clouds it's really sad to watch Yuna and rest of team in sadness.

Chrono Tigger
This death is very simple and nothing very sad for me :# Crono passed away. Ok, Bye!

Hmm.

When Tidus jumps off into the cloud,
also when the summons dissappears. ANIMA NOOO!!

Aeris Death.

When Bill died. :(

When the hero found out that his mother and father died

In the Prison Dungeon, when the two Reeds brutally beaten up the bangaa, bit horrifying and sad

Dude. You guys skipped out on Starcraft and accompanying expansion of Broodwar!
The deaths there were epic, tide turning, and devastating!

Gray Fox. Holy shit, I was so close to crying. "Snake. We're not tools of the government, or anyone else. Fighting was the only thing... the only thing I was good at. But... at least I always fought for what I believed in." Best dying line EVER. The scene was so damn touching.

Final Fantasy VI...
I don't remember his name man! The black ninja who could always throw shuriken, swords and all the weapon u had in the inventory!
Does somebody remember what happened at the end of the game?
I really didn't understand why he did that, but it was tragic indeed...
Maybe more nonsensed that tragic...

When Bette Midler's best friend dies in Beaches and her character (CeCe Bloom) sings The Glory of Love. Oh mah gawd, I was in tears you do not understand. I thought it was a fitting send off to a friend, and even fitting because it was a moment were everything came full circle. CeCe Bloom sings this song as a child but it was emotionless and showboaty. There was no emotion or understanding of the lyrics observed in it. But after she lives her life and returns to the song, it makes a world of difference.

GOD LENE THANKS FOR SPOILING IT I MEAN SERIOULSY WOULD IT BE SO HARD TO SPOILER IT god ¬.¬

Saddest for me would probably be Rakeesh dying in Quest for Glory V (though I later found out that you can save him, I didn't know that at the time so I was like OH WHAT THE FUCK;-;). Also, the Tanya/Toby scene and the Katrina endgame scene in Quest for Glory IV were both pretty tearjerking.

Oh well, the saddest one is of course... err... Kenny, from South Park, every time he dies, my tears flow from the deep depths of my heart, it makes me feel so sad lol

I gotta say, I have to agree with Artbane about Super Metroid and Metal Gear Solid 3 being pretty sad :<. I just played through Super Metroid the other day (and I suck at it, took me 4 hours) and it made me sad when the metroid died :'<

Also all the metal gear solid games have had one pretty sad death each, with 3 being the best just because of the tragic irony of the whole thing.

Oh yeah and Children of Men.
For some reason I was incredibly sad when Julianne got shot in the throat, you knew her hardly at all, but it was very super sad. The only thing that made it less sad was that they used the same exact music for Theo greaving as Theo discovering Key pregnant. That just seemed to jump out at me and annoy me.

I don't care if this is a few pages ago...

Not spoilering this because the chances of anyone other than me watching this movie on this forum is pretty slim:

I happen to own Beaches, and totally forgot about it... and now I want to watch it... just to get sad... damn you...

Anyone seen 300?

The way Leonidas and his army dies was totally epic. Sure, if you know the story of Thermopylae you'd know how it ended, but how it was depicted here was absolutely memorable.

His army of 300 (or less at that point) surrounded the entire Persian army. Leonidas throws his spear at Xerxes before taking his last breath and is rained on by arrows.

And to follow up on BlueScope..

Pretty much the same as 300. An army with the odds against them, but they push forward nonetheless. Katsumoto is told about the battle of Thermopylae by Tom Cruise's character before the battle and smiles before charging. While they did lose the battle, they won the war.

Basilisk, final death scene of both "Romeo" and "Juliet".

It goes in parallel structure, mimicking the death that happened at the very beginning of the series, except this time, instead of the two lovers killing each other, they kill themselves, stylish.

The ending speech by Juliet was excellent as well and how she inserts that knife into her heart while smiling as if she had never been happier before...

Perfect way to end a tragedy.

im going with:
When Cloud was being puppet mastered into almost killing aeris then he had enough power to resist it but when sephiroth landed down and stabbed her in the back was the big one. i got rly attached to that character and her death did a number on me, for the first 2 seconds i was like "what...?" in a low inpubecent way, and then at the end of the cinimatic when he pulls his sword out and she drops down and Holy Materia dings along into the water i started to tear up big time, and then i had to stop playing for like 10 minutes because i couldnt fight jenova without crying and not seeing the screen cuz of tears, so i turned the sound off and finished the battle thinking i was in the clear and ill just have to greive at it for about a week. then right after i finish the battle it proceeds to tear another gapeing stab into my heart when Cloud drops her into the water and its all emotional and gut wrenching, so far just this one 20 minute area of the game has made me cry 3 times.

While watching Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children every time there was a flash scene with the aeris music i teared up, especially the part where Cloud says "I want to be forgiven" and Aeris replies with "By whome?", that was, almost cried at that point. But at the end where Cloud Smiles (the song) is playing and hes all happy and hes looking around the church, and sees aeris in the background JUST as the song reaches its climax helping 2 kids, and starts walking away, he notices its her and it almost looks like he's gonna cry, i was a bit teary at the facial expression of shock in clouds face, bu the it showed her close up turning around and she says "Everything's fine now... Ok?", then walks away and zack waves away and they fade off into the mist. The acting out of the scene was purely perfect, the music was Phenominal, the voice acting was beautiful (especially on aeris' end), that one scene is by far Tetsuya Nomura's Life work put into about 5 minutes.... Man, im a guy and i cried harder than my girlfriend in that scene, and shes also very attached to Cloud and Aeris. The good thing is, its a good kind of crying because its a supremely happy ending.

actually yeah, in retrospect i have to agree with the FF7 thing. i mean i hate the game quite a lot (overrated, boring, etc.) but when my older brother told me "aeris dies" and i was like "what" then played the game in a little bit and aeris actually did die i was like "FUCK;-;" for like ten minutes. then i realized it was a standard SAVE THE WORLD game shortly after that so i stopped caring and started hating cloud and co.

Noein had a lot of tragic deaths, but the most tragic one was probably Fukurou's. Being wiped out by Noein just before the series hit its halfway-mark. Toby's death also was too sad.

Mamiina. When she just sacrificed her own life just to make "things fair", especially after the huge change of personality she experienced earlier in the series. That really was a heart-wrenching moment.

I never show emotion to deaths, but, the one with the most impact, was a movie a recently saw called "The Departed" the whole movie, Leonardo Dicaprio(don't know his characters name) was trying to find a crooked cop, in the end he does, he has a gun to his head, but OUT OF NOWHERE, half of his face splatters, and some other mobster guy comes up. The snitch kills this guy and leaves the scene.

The snitch is then sitting at home, thinking he got away scot free, when one of the police detectives, whom's friend was killed by the mod. Comes in his house, and Blows his head off too. Then....Fin.

lol thats basically what happened too. within about 10 minutes, the 2 main characters get there brains splattered.

When the first guy died out of nowhere, I was like....umm...WTF!?
Then the second guy died, and...I kinda laughed, but still.

Oh I forgot:

Basically everyone dies, but Toboe and the Old Man's death were quite saddening, along with Tsume's little 'talk to the corpse' scene. Very sad :<
