I hate it when people post there opinions, without any explanation as to why they have that opinion.

I love it, personally.

It looks clean, polished. It's more functional. Plus, I love being notified if there's a new post, before I reply. It makes forum gaming a breeze, and prevents annoying editing, due to someone having said what you just said.

I still say great job.

The skin is boring, the layout is not very appealing anymore, the links are messed up, the spoiler tags are screwed at the moment, everyone has lost their images, the buttons and things are dull. I don't think a reason was needed as that is what my opinion is. No one has to listen, heck just scroll past my name if you want, but I still think the old boards had more to them.

Sigh~ I guess its allright as long as no one quits.. But why do we have a new skin( or fourm or w/e changed )? Did we demand it,Did someone on the Squad think that the old rmxp was too messed up,Did Ratty stick that pencil too far up?!?! What the hell has happen. Well, the switch was always intended mostly for technical issues. However most of the things you noted are in the process of being fixed, and others (like having to reupload avatars) aren't really issues at all, since they're user-side issues that can be easily remedied. Give it a little bit of time and we'll have full functionality back, and we're going to have more skin options before too long as well. I honestly don't know why you find the skin more unappealing than the old one; I always thought the default RMXP.org vB skin was absolute murder on the eyes and the only ones worth using were Spivtastic and Death Wish (both of which will probably be recreated in some capacity).

Also! If you sent me a PM with your sponsor receipt, you should have your sponsor status back. I would have PMed you, but my internet is being throttled (fuck college) and it would have taken me a lot of excess time.

As far as the hacked posts mentioned earlier,
I've already gone threw some of the formerly stickied symposium topics for hacked posts - and will continue to do so with at least the sections in my control when I get the time.
There's a lot of them, and I will be deleting threads that are either entirely hacked or just plain too hacked to hold any merit anymore, as well.
We'll get to those hacked posts, don't you worry

And as you have heard/read I'm sure, we're going to try to make this a lot easier for members and staff - and the support we've had so far has been really appreciated, thanks again community.

Hey, I found this. I'm sure it's not exactly what you guys/gals want, but I'm sure it could be of help in creating the download manager!

The reason I found this is that I've never used SMF before, and I like it, so now I'm changing my forums to SMF XD

Okay people.
Pay attention to this.

Download Manager is gone, it will be replaced by a Resource Page of some sort (I'm not sure exactly what, personally).  The Resource Link at the top of the forums isn't going to work, because the Resource Page isn't created and public yet.  Forum Links in let's say the RA section that would have gone to the Download Manager are dead, because there no longer is a Download Manager.

Okay.  Recap.
The DLM (Download Manager) is gone and going to be replaced.
The replacement isn't done yet.
Links that went to the DLM are dead.
Links that went most anywhere from thread to thread are likewise probably deaded as well, since SMF handles forum urls differently than we did before.

However, keep anything new coming that we might not have seen.  We know about the resource and DLM, we announced it several times.  I sound snippy but it's not aimed at anyone, I'm just bolding as an attempt to get everyone to see, while the intentions are good, we're being reminded a few too many times, but thanks for bringing up all points anyway.

intraforum links are also dead for the time being, though there is a chance that we may be able to fix that. no promises, but we're trying.

what you guys knew as the DLM is going to be replaced by aspects of the mainsite. one of the benefits of having a mainsite means we won't need to be reliant on silly forum modules to do all this stuff! the data from the DLM HAS been saved i believe but i'm not entirely sure what we're doing with it yet so i can't say for sure what's going on regarding that stuff.

once we get things straightened out with the forums - bugs, skin issues, random stuff here and there - we're going to be focusing on the mainsite and you guys will be informed about every step of the development process. i can't give an estimated date as to when we'll actually be able to start working on it but we will let you know! your input will be very important in the construction of the mainsite.
