I understand an image size limit on sigs, but what about the 300 character limit? Is that staying?

(I'd edit my sig to make it 200px high, but can't as I can't see most of the text as it's over 300 characters...)

The limit will change once we get spoilers working again.

In the meantime, we urge everyone who has really large sigs with spoilers all over the place to please save your code in a .txt file, and edit your sig so it meets the limit and doesn't have tags we don't have at the moment.  This will keep topic pages from breaking, and generally make our lives easier.

We've addressed that in some other topics. But really the problem is that the old links went to old vBulletin URLS. vBulletin and SMF handle thread URLs differently. The forum itself doesn't have any broken links, but posts might because the links that were in them led to places that are different now.

All of the links like these in any stickied topics are going to fixed and reworked, broken links in people's signatures and posts they will probably have to edit themselves.

I hadn't joined yet when rmxp.org got hacked, so I'm not sure exactly what happened.  If it involved somone replacing all the posts with his/her own gripe, the damage is back.

Yeah that was a LOOONG time ago (cant believe that the guys before us didn't fix them). We're planning on going through each stickied topic and writing them eventually anyway, though, to reflect the new outlook and rules of the forum. Any bad posts like that will be taken care of soon enough.

I made a couple of nice changes! Quick reply is now enabled for everybody. Also, when you post it'll bring you back to the current thread, instead of the board index. More improvements will come as I figure them out.

Well TREG said the DLM was going to be reinstated but it's going to take a little time. It was broken the way it was before so they're revamping the system for it.

That's good news. ^_^

I hate it when people post there opinions, without any explanation as to why they have that opinion.

I love it, personally.

It looks clean, polished. It's more functional. Plus, I love being notified if there's a new post, before I reply. It makes forum gaming a breeze, and prevents annoying editing, due to someone having said what you just said.

I still say great job.

I like the update, however Its been a bit difficult navigating the threads due to the difference in the layout. That, and I've had to increase the text size on my browser to read most of the posts. I can't wait until we can get some new skins for the site, as I'm more familiar and fond of the old Pixel Voodoo skin. Still, this is probably last priority, but until then The site does look a lot cleaner then before.
