Dead Content Razkertim

Dead content awaiting restoration.
Bump because I've updated the first post with information about the last 3 characters who join your party!

I don't know when Part 2 will be released, probably sometime next year. It's going to take a looong time to finish it.

Some things i have planned:

-An optional 100 floor puzzle dungeon
-An optional quest that involves liberating cities and conquering towers that respawn after 30 days.
-More summons (some of which will actually make summoning useful)
-A casino complete with slot machines and card games.
-A mini-game where you can buy an island and start a town and recruit NPCs to move there (similar to the minigame in Dragon Quest VII)
-Join the "Light Sisterhood" which gives you assignments to kill certain NPCs for money. The first NPC you have to kill is Mayor Molestore. Yes this is a parody of the Dark Brotherhood from Oblivion. .
-A 2nd monster colosseum.
 
Hehe, lately i've been rewriting some of the dialogue in the game. Call it inspiration from a certain PSP game, but I'm now trying to make some of the characters seem more sophisticated and less dumb. An example:

OLD:
Ricallo: Shut your trap. I wouldn't even be doing this crap if it wasn't for your band getting us in so much debt.

NEW:
Ricallo: Quiesce your tongue! I would not even lend my hand if not for the tremendous debt your troupe's ill fortunes placed upon us.

Also, mucho thanks to Trickster for fixing some annoying graphical glitches. Now, when you have characters with portraits speaking for more than 1 message box, their portraits will stay on screen for the duration of the dialogue scene, and not be refreshed with each message box. He also fixed a few bugs with the caterpillar script (your dudes no longer disappear when you open up a conversation with an NPC or use the shortmenu menu).

I hope to release this enhanced Part 1 within the next week or so. I'll include a couple new optional party cut-scenes just so it's not completely devoid of new content.

I can't wait to play this game I was so exited when it finished Downloading cause i DL at 2k per second.
But....
When i ran the game(even after putting the fonts on my comp this showed up)


Script 'Auto Font Install 1.1' line 72: NoMethodError occurred.
undefined method '+' for nil:NilClass

Dont know much about RGSS I know method means action or something. I think its saying that the Auto FOnt Install script you have didnt start? I dont know but i really want to play this game... any idea on how to fix it?

That's odd, I thought I fixed that. Well you can just copy the calibri.ttf (or whatever the font file is) to c:\windows\fonts and it should skip the auto install font.

The font is installed but i'm getting the same message... damn that took me like 6 hours to download lol for nothing...lol
that sucks I was looking foward to this cause we both have the same great taste in games :(
 
I'm stuck, can someone walk me through the sequence of tiles to be activated in order to open the doors. I have opened the pink, blue and yellow doors and flipped a switch in the pink room I believe. I have one "eye" the single one at the main doors. Also have turned on the eye in the blue room and the Left eye in the yellow room.

Any help is appreciated.

There are three switches that can only be pressed once. Once all three switches have been pressed the middle door with open.
The eyes open additional doors that lead to the rooms where these switches are.
So for instance, if you press the blue panel and then activate the eye there, leave that room, go back to the panels and press the yellow panel to open the yellow door and go to the top left, the plain door that is normally closed should be open and you can flip the switch there.

Also, the bottom left tile panels will stay closed permanently and provides you a shortcut from the center to the panel area.
 
Hi, love your game!!

I think i found a small bug. When i was fighting the boss in Galatia caves, he kept increasing his defense to 100% health ( when he started it was 13%) he had 87 turns, and I couldnt do anything. When he reached 100%, he just kept increasing it, and i had to shut down the game.

Okay thanks for the heads up. I'll try to fix that for the next release.

A sure strategy to kill him is to learn throw axe or throw spear and use it as quickly as you can on him.
 
I've uploaded a new version of Part 1. this version:
- Fixes multiple bugs. Portraits no longer redraw with each message, Party members no longer disappear when talking to NPCs, summoned monster battlers aren't blank when you re-summon them, etc. Trickster fixed quite a few of these bugs, big thanks to him!
- Adds some new dialogue in various places, most of Katedyre and Ricallo's dialogue were rewritten.
- Contains an overhauled journal system.

Which part of the beginning?

This brief walkthrough should help:
1) After you get control of the hero, get the journal and gear in your bedroom, then go talk to your mom, then get the torch from the shelves next to her and the weapon and red potions in the storage room.
2) Go to the armor shop and buy the 50Z shield
3) Transfer all red potions and gear you found to yourself, equip
4) Go to the cave north of town, use the torch, go through the cave to the other side
5) Go to the castle (Rheum), enter castle, trigger cut-scene there
6) Go back to your home and talk to your parents, the rest of the game should be easily figured out by then

Hint: Use your Journal if you need to know where to go next.
