Mm, so should I just wait for the polished official release before continuing to play?

Well I would personally continue to play, but it's up to you. :)

(You could always replay the official using a different personality or gender to see the changes in dialogue)

Updated game now live.

Here are some general, helpful tips for players starting out:
  • The first morality question determines what weapon type your Hero specializes in and which weapon you can find in the closet on the 1st floor of your Hero's home.
  • Choose Bow (you like to shoot at things) if you want to conserve weapon uses. The Double Strafe skill only consumes 2 uses but does 3x damage, whereas the skills for the other weapons consume 4-6 uses . Bows also have 99 uses by default whereas the other weapons will range from 40-60. The only downside to Bow is that they are generally weaker than the other weapons.
  • When you leave Achlansburg for the first time and come back, you will notice that some NPCs have changed places, and the weird chess pieces are also gone. This should allow you to enter a certain house through a certain way that you couldn't before.
  • Also, your mother will be in the item shop after you've left Achlansburg once and come back.
  • Don't forget to check your house's mailbox. There's a nice reminder left inside it.
  • Don't forget to transfer red potions to your Hero's inventory. You can't use them in battle otherwise.
  • Don't worry about buying extra weapons when you start out, as you can find some free weapons in the first cave.
  • The 2nd dungeon may be overwhelming if your party is ill-equipped, so you can try exploring the rest of the world beforehand, perhaps find an additional party member and go through an optional dungeon. Having the latest gears and a decent stock of weapons is key to surviving the enemy encounters in the 2nd dungeon.
  • Once you get Katedyre and Ricallo, explore the Galatia Townhall. You just might come across a treasure room and a guard with few morals.
  • Learn the warp spell as soon as possible. Your mother teaches it.

Yay, Project of the Month!

*does the Final Fantasy victory dance in celebration*

Also, having fun playing the game so far. :D

Thanks all!

Um, I just noticed that there's a bug in the latest version that prevents the Tutorial from being played, so I'm fixing it right now and will be uploading the latest version in just a bit. I apologize to anyone who just downloaded it.

UPDATE: Latest version is uploaded. If you downloaded the game anytime today or yesterday night, please re-download, thanks!

(I added a new bromide so that should be enough reason to re-DL anyway)

UPDATE 2: Someone informed me that the Auto-Install Font isn't working, so I will be fixing it. I think I figured out why it is doing this (it is looking for the rb file and not able to find it since it's encrypted).

REALLY SORRY ABOUT THAT, but you can get around it by manually installing the calibri font.

UPDATE 3: Fixed version uploaded, hopefully there aren't any more game crashing bugs. :)

I just finished Part 1. This >>> PGGDG.

The game was really fun. I loved the optional scenes/treasures added in. (I had 3 bromides and 248 treasures at the end and only got 2 stars. Grr.) I liked the custom systems as well.

I only remember encountering a few bugs (none too major), but here's the biggest one: When Redian leaves after not going to the Dungeon of Daring after 7 days, he gains levels when you recruit him (your party's level + level he had when he left). I had an overpowered Redian when I was playing.

Do'h, I thought I had fixed that Redian bug! Oh well, guess that's an easy way to cheese this demo. ;) Thanks for playing, and also for remembering my crappy old game too.

It's kinda sad that no one's posting here after all that. D: This is worth a try, guys.

(Currently bombarded with exams and pre-release session of my project at the moment so I'm knocked out for now, sorry. ._.)

So has anyone else gotten to the end of Part 1?

I have to confess that I haven't been working on the game, been taking a break (I spent all of my free time in July to September working on it) but I will start working on it again in a couple weeks.

I've uploaded a newer version of the same demo, it corrects a couple bugs, one of which prevents you from beating the monster colloseum, so if you were pretty far in that, now's your chance to beat it and score a bromide.
