Oh, by the way; the save file I provided is right at the start of the last battle in Chapter 6. So you might want to get ready as soon as you load it. :p To be honest, if you just stand somewhere and keep shooting and healing, the fight should be a breeze. Or you can jump around and pull off fun things.
Yeah well. :p Oh, a tip on the battles: you might want to read the transformation items' utilities by using the items in your inventory (e.g. wolf hair); it may provide information on how to greatly ease up some of the side-battles.
Does anybody know of a free .png to .gif converter, by the way? I think I need one to make some of the smileys for the forum. My apologies if this shouldn't be here.
Ah, I haven't tried those programs, but my photoshop wouldn't save as .gif (if I open a .gif then save, the colours are all messed up).
@lucid: Ugh, my bad; I'll try to get it done in the next week. Currently extremely bombarded with this release, exams and final assignments. ><; If you have a midi opening program, you can open Snowflake to see the rough sheet music for it; that's the happy variation of the two.

Edit: Just a reminder: After the Ending Music Video in the end of Chapter 8, there is something extra. So please do not exit right away.
-Space/C/Enter to sprint.
-Q for (usually) main attack.
-W for (usually) special attack.
-Z + X for transformation (which remaps Q and W into other attacks).
-D for jump in certain forms.
-S for heal ***. (Always keep an eye on the hp! And save enough energy for it.)
I have to say, I really liked it. The bit with Reivier after Lunair gave him the pill was very good, and the art was a very nice touch. I don't really get why he stabbed himself, though. Was it to shake off the effects of the pill? The story was great, too. I'm a little confused about Eshe's backstory and origins, but hopefully that will be revealed more in chapter eight?

The word that came to mind immediately for me was emo, hahaha. I kinda doubt it though. It oversimplifies Reivier as a character... Anyway, I'm right now at the very end of the carnival part of "White Lie". Does it matter which teddy bear you get in the long run, or is it just for fun? I got the red one...
There's a really weird error though, at the haunted cave, if you go back in after you've finished it, Kaire and Reivier are standing there, and you can walk through them, even though they've rejoined you at this point. Ahh!
Hahah, how did I not catch that? Forgot to paste an overriding page to those; my bad. Thankfully it isn't a crashing glitch. Thanks for the heads up. And it doesn't really matter which one you get, although you can get more than one and give more than once.

Dear returning players:

Chapter 7 and 8, in my opinion, are certainly higher quality than Chapter 5 (and hence chapter 1-4). However, it is difficult to compare with Chapter 6 due to the contrast in scenario. Compared with 6, 7 and 8 are somewhat "calm after a storm before another storm" or whatnot.
None the less, it has some of my favourite things in the series so far. Favourite cut-scene, favourite sub-story near the end of Chapter 8, and my favourite song composed by James Q. Zhang (also at the end of C8). Speaking of which, there is something extra after the Ending Music Video after the end of C8 this time; so don't exit right away!
The chapter also contains at least 7 new tracks added to the original soundtrack. [Also, while not included in this release, the ending theme Drift is to be performed by the extremely talented miss matcha (Laura Shigihara) in the near future. So look out for that, and check out her project with some of the coolest original BGMs around here!]
I apologize about the large size of this release; it is unavoidable as things build up. The entire game-play time is now approximately 7-8 hours. In the future, I will make audio-free releases, sparing the repetitive audio size.
This release also contains some revamping of earlier content; but sadly, due to time constraint, only intro was notably improved. Other things, such as in Chapter 1-4, have been slightly revamped in parts, but not nearly enough as I had hoped and needed to keep in par with the newer releases. Chapter 2 is still quite the drowner.
None the less, it might be a good idea to replay just the intro part to see the changes. Some of which is valuable to the plot and foreshadowing of future events. [From intro up to the beginning of Chapter I.]

I've been playin the new chapters for a while now, and I think it's awesome so far!
I'm at the carnival right now in Chapter 8.
I did find a little error in chapter 7 though.

Doesn't look like a squirrel to me. Happens when you interact with the squirrel from the right of it.
Wow..normally those kinds of things don't creep me out.
But RIGHT before I downloaded the new chapters, I was with my friends at the movies to see Prom Night, tha new scary movie. So through the whole haunted cave I was thinking of the movie and i was getting really freaked out!
I'll finish playing in the morning. It's 12:50 am right now...and I'm really tired.
But so far, the new chapters are really fun :lol:
I know it's easy to fix, but I just wanted to let you know about it.
This is actually my second playthrough of the game. I wanted to see the remade maps, and I am absolutely blown away. Also, Serai's characterset looks tons better :thumb:
