Hmm... It seems to be half-sized but it works as long as you double the size.

Set the opacity fairly low and make sure it doesn't scroll!

Yep, that's pretty much it.  :smile: And the light balls were just standard RTP light, although for some of them I resized it to 4x as big. Also, thanks for the glitch reports, Neverplayd!

Is fully animated - similar to the mechanics in the end of chapter 6, but improved. :>

Ah I can't believe you showed them! The thing looks nothing short of amazing by the way. Everything even down to the way you blue the text around Kan Gao is eye pleasing and I can only imagine it looks even better in action

I've established a resource trade recently, which would result in (most likely) a custom menu system for Quintessence. What I currently have in mind for its layout is that instead of moving cursors to select, a button/panel/background or whatnot would "morph" into another panel each time a selection command is made. (Hence I was looking around for this application, if anyone knows something like it. What do you guys think?

Chapter VII's production is still going fine; at one point I was thinking of splitting it into two and release them separately instead to get an early release out, but then ended up not doing so due to that it would bring down the quality in terms of a sense of fluent flow. For now, here's another preview screenshot (I edited the tent graphics in the starting village. This is Reivier & Serai's (a lot more roomy) tent):

Looks better :thumb: Just tried your game awhile back, it's plain awesome. But here's my two-cents:

You really need to clean up the database stuff, though it's probably one of the most annoying aspects of game-making. I collected many items throughout the first few chapters (like in the beginning village, there were all those plants and radishes etc.) that became totally useless later on in the game. The "S" healing skill was basically all I needed during battles. But other than that, everything else was really smooth, especially your cutscenes. Good job-- can't wait 'til Chapter 7 comes out with the battle transformations!
 
That tent looks loads better than it used to... Glad to see you doing edits here and there. I assume you're changing it for the beginning of the game as well, right?

I'm itching to see the whole thing of chapter VII now though. I'm guessing the release is still a ways away though...

@ Reives: The new tent looks great! It seems like a bit of a trivial change if you ask me, but Im sure it improves the game's quality as a whole and gives it a bit more uniqueness.

@Kiera: That looks pretty good, but somethings seems to be off about her breasts. It seems to me like you should be able to see two in that pose.

Yep, it's changed everywhere for the tents of Reivier/Serai and Vikon/Sal.

Yeah, I thought doing small edits here and there adds a nice touch and give a slack from the usual RTPness. (Also inspired by Nadir's Canon. Which I heard has a new playable version coming soon!)
 
@Erichermit; I don't think from that view you'd see two. It's kinda side back view, also her hair is kinda hidding a great deal of view.


@Reives, NP ^^; I see I spelled quintessence wrong...>.< D'oh, wait till I fix the name please!!!! *Dies of embarassment*

Ah, I see now. I for some reason was thinking the legs were positioned differently than they are. I took a look at it from a different.. "perspective" and I see what you mean.

Hahah, I only noticed after you mentioned it. :p

There are quite a few new songs in fact. I'm not going to show all of them in the production updates, of course.

But here's a sample of another darker one for now. It's actually inspired by one of Elfen Lied's songs; more specifically, the bass string parts as it starts in the beginning.
It also utilizes the To Realize melody.

Thanks guys. As for inspiration, I seem to find watching opening/ending videos to various random shows to be most inspiring. Although that applies more to getting me off me bum to work rather than adding to the story itself. . . Which I suppose kind of just come up from day-dreaming sessions during lectures.  :smile:

I just finished part 1 of chapter VII. Part 2 is shorter, so should take less time to complete relatively. I have a great urge to release part 1 on its own, but as decided, I am holding onto it until they're both done. I can't really say whether it is certainly better than chapter 6 over all at the moment, but I can surely say that there are things are certainly executed in a better fashion than the previous chapters.

One of these days I'll get my butt back to improving the earlier chapters to drag them out of the relative pile of shame.
 
Now now! I would by now means consider the first chapters shameful! Of course, if you wish to improve them, there's always room and I'm sure you could, but I don't think they really need it. 

I think it's probably better to hold off on releasing until you can finish the entire Chapter VII, for consistency's sake, but we're looking forward to it!
