Quintessence - The Blighted Venom

I have seen tons of games get tons of replies, and the game really isn't that good. I am extracting it after I update my threads. Though this game seems to be different, good luck though guys. Battling looks interesting.

Which is actually quite funny, as I loved the gameplay in chapter... one? Yeah, I love searching high, and low for items. I was a tad disappointed that there weren't many, or even any, hidden treasures, in later chapters. of course, none of the items ever got used, but still.

Hahah, that reminds me, I really do have to take some time to do some items sometimes. I was going to do something fancy for the music boxes collected in Chapter 5 in Chapter 6, but instead I just ended up disabling them in C6 due to time constraints. :x Ah well, at least you get to use them in Chapter 5 still.

But fear not! Items shall return in the future, even if just for fun!
(Really, those throwing eggs are long overdue to being used.)
 
So far only problem is mapping is the greatest in chapter 1, but not that bad. I love the scripts you guys got, and effects.
The animations are awesome, same with credits being in game.
Lol more I play this the more I am amazed.
 
Scripts as in the dialogues or the RGSS scripts? The only RGSS scripts I used were Raziel's CMS, caterpillar system, and Dublealex's message system. Nothing special, heheh.
Ya can drop the "guys" by the way, you're only talking to me. :p
 
Well, my RL friend composed half of the soundtrack (the better portion), I composed the other half (the not-as-good portion :p), and the rest are me, minus most of the graphical resources , in which I just did edits on. (and scripts as mentioned, etc., see credits.) I am a control freak when it comes to creative things; especially this, since I want things to be exactly as I imagined it to be as in its fiction form, so I really dislike the idea of working in teams in terms of making the project.

Edit: Oh, Lunarea made some nice sprite poses for it.
 
Well seems awesome, I will beat them all, just not right now. I got to tent area, on the game. The movies were awesome. My opinion, music and animations are the best I've seen.

What do you mean? Promise and To Realize is as good as Korbin Village and the Battle Theme! Although I find Concerto in D Major to be rather cool right now. :D
 
Just finished chapter 6... and wow. I was definitely moved, and I totally wanted Rievier to kick tons of Aerian ass when I saw... that part. And I got to, which was great. I'm sure you know the part of which I speak (I loved the way you darkened the top of Rievier's face... nice touch). :) Anyway, that was absolute brilliance. There are a few bugs I found (mostly typos, but one weird thing with one of the guard minigames that threw me off for around a half hour, and frustrated me like no other), but I'll post those tomorrow, since it's 3:00 in the morning here. But either way, I definitely applaud the effort. Definitely not a waste of 6 hours and 15 minutes of my life. :)

And by the way, where do those panoramic backgrounds used for the chapter titles and the credits come from?

Glad you enjoyed it. :) And ah, I'm guessing that the part that threw you off was the chasing part, and you didn't know what to do. There is also a glitch there, where you are not supposed to be able to go much north after the up/down screen panning at all, instead of being able to go around the road north then detected - which would probably gave more of a hint. A lot of the panoramas are from a graphic collection I purchased in China, from 动画专业ç»

well, I thought that maybe there might have been a little too many soldiers towards the start of that chase, I had to do it five times at least to get the horse to jump when it was supposed to :P

It was a great minigame though, kinda reminds me of the 2d FF7 Bike Fight mini game hehe
