ZenVirZan that feeling is a basic human instinct, you can probably will yourself above it.
My solution to when I had that feeling just over a year ago was to sleep on the floor (it's somewhere different) and start planning all the shit you'll get done during the year and start doing it.
I moved on and learned a lot, it was all put into perspective not too long ago.
I don't want to write about personal experience, but basically what I learned; someone who tries to make their ex jealous to get back with them hasn't grown up. That kind of person feeds basic human instinct and doesn't gain anything from it, even if jealousy works it's just stepping back into the point before the breakup.
If you make yourself above the unreasonable anger then you can point at all the people who gets absorbed in it and say "I'm a better person than that".
I think getting past these feelings is a case of willpower over instinct.
