Post What's on Your Mind

'm aware of its praise and have been meaning to try it out, made all the more interesting now
I think its a fantastic game, couldnt recommend it more. Not only is the gameplay extremely fun, but i think the story is almost equal. Don't let the cell shading and art style fool you, the story themes are really well thought out and most are executed nicely. I dont want to spoil anything, but the game is more than just a ragtag group of heroes.

i just wish more people played this game~

I really only have a problem with people who refuse to learn the language. If you move to USA learn English. Move to canada learn English or French. As long as they trying to make an effort im okay with it. But when they start yelling at me and tell me I should learn there language. They can fuck themselves.

And on another note Fayte is your LG having Opus IV pre release?

yeah, there's only one in our whole state lol. we had to pre-register too. but I signed up two of my friends that don't play so I solidified my playset of the pre-release cloud. what about you?

Twitter used to be a place where I felt comfortable talking about my problems and my negative thoughts but recently my sister has started to reply to some of them with kind but unwarrented messages of support.
My brother and housemates also commented on how my twitter is very emo so now that I know people in my life are actually paying attention to it I just don't feel comfortable with it.
Like, I think it's healthy to vent about negative things but I also don't really want my family thinking there is something massively wrong with me. Cause I don't think there is. I'm just struggling a little bit at the minute...

man i wish i could actually write
id biz the fuck out and never stop developing if that was the case but like
i recognise where my faults are and much in the same way i have troubles writing essays, i also cant write stories for shit
always wanted to program the systems for an rpg, but i cant actually do the important part which is the characters and story

ZenVirZan, you need to go look up a book called "Save the Cat!" I'm serious. And you don't actually have to buy the book. You can just get the necessary information off everyone's websites.

STC! is basically a fill-in-the-blanks template for movie scriptwriters. There is one--and only one--overarching structure that STC! movies follow. And there are only 10 genres. I didn't know about this until a few weeks ago, but STC! has become the standard template for Hollywood, and it has annoyed a lot of movie aficionados who now recognize the same story beats over and over in every movie.

Maybe you don't want to write a cliche story based on STC!, but just being able to write a standard story that is well structured could be the start your RPG scriptwriting career needs.

Twitter ended up as a semi-professional thoughts platform to me. Twitter's limitation forces me to keep it brief yet dense with information.

I never understood Twitter. Personally, I don't see why people use it and so I never used it. Then when I started promoting my game, I found out that there are people who actually use Twitter, and that it's supposedly an important messaging platform. So I started promoting my game there. I don't really use Twitter for anything else.

Not with the new update :P
Yeah I got a few thoughts about that. I think they should have went to 160 characters, not double. SMS character limit is 160, so there's some historic reasoning behind that.

Just had a rush of inspiration for the art-style of my project currently in planning. I'm thinking isometric hand-drawn. An isometric grid makes scrubbing out the environment easy and can then do an art-pass later on. My collision system would work quite nicely with an isometric layout in MV.

Came across this the other day. Absolutely stunning pixel art with explanations. I would be interested in seeing what games this guy has worked on.

This picture in particular has me intrigued.

Looks like he did that all in Blender. He's not doing anything fancy there, is he? That's just a scene of regular 3D objects UV wrapped with pixellated textures, right?
