hybrida a lot of us arent from the US so we dont really give a shit considering thats where the drama is

The last time a gorgeous Angle like that appeared in the United States, she was killed and tortured. Most likely by her own mother. It was a big investigation in the mid 90's. The media here in the US is still talking about it every now and then.

I've got my nuclear blast plan in place.
If we have notice of a detonation, then it's white paint on the windows for me and I'll be in the corridor in the middle of the flat; no windows, doors all closed, hard-floor. Would probably move my table into the corridor to hide under (after pulling the table cloth off and moving that out of the way). Grab a pair of sunglasses and move as many clothes into plastic bags as possible.
Fridge/freezer contents would likely be okay still. Freezer with no electricity would start to defrost so it would be best to use sensible containers to collect the ice from there with the intention on drinking it. Open a fresh water filter too.
Venturing outside is going to be the hardest thing to get right and I don't think I could do it in the summer, would have to be cold winter. I think the first thing to do is get compass, map, barometer, analogue watch together and then plan the journey with what shops to try and do it with the mindset of never-turning-back.

Collect the sealed liquids, move them somewhere isolated. Collect all canned foods, keep them isolated in another location. Take off clothes, use liquid to wash body hair, including eye lashes, no shampoo or conditioner.
Unplug the microwave and move it into sleeping area; that's where I'll be storing cans and liquids.
Cover ventilation in kitchen and bathroom (two places in the house where ventilation is open), move soft furnishings out of living room. Sleep on hard floor in living room.

If everything outside looks dead and there's no TV or radio, then my plan is get to the south coast and find my brother; gives me something to do and keep moving forward for if life has become a nuclear wasteland.
After the fallout settles, the biggest problem would be the wind carrying it. I'd start using stuff around my house to build a suit that would not carry fallout dust if strong winds were to start blowing. First place to stop would be the hardware store to find a barometer so I have some kind of knowledge of what the air pressure is and have some kind of hope for predicting the winds. Best time to move would be after rain-fall so everything in the air is on the ground and damp; not likely to blow about. Shave hair dry to prevent fallout dust from trapping in it. Take the medical alcohol.
I would definitely try my car first, see if that's still working, but the first thing to do is block up the heater vents with cloth to make sure nothing blows into the cabin. I'd also bring a plastic bin bag to line the drivers seat and floor. After it's prepared; then I will try and start it up. If it's not working, then forget it. Leave the keys in the ignition so others can see its been tried, saves them wasting their time on it, and close the door: it might make good shelter for someone who's desperate, so don't want to leave the door open and let fallout blow in.
Analogue watches will be okay, so that would be my way of time keeping. Compass is a must, as is an AZ map. Maybe only take the pages that cover the routes I want to take; can always find another AZ map in a small town post-office or book-shop and I think most people would loot for perishable supplies, rather than maps.
The only things to take from shops are canned food (everything), rice (in plastic bags) and sealed liquids in plastic. Rice is useful and can survive radiation quite well, even uncooked can probably eat some of it.
My bags would be two rucksacks, one tied to hang from the other, with a plastic bin liner over them both with only a single shoulder strap exposed for slinging. A solid sled would be great.
Unfortunately my heaviest jacket (most radiation proof) is perfect for trapping radiated fallout dust. I'd like to think I'd consider options on covering that up so I could wear it. Maybe more plastic bags. I don't have any kind of mask or swimming cap (or shower cap) so I'd have to plastic bag my freshly-shaven head.
Travel with identification documents so when I die I can be added to a statistic. Keep a diary (with a ballpoint pen). Travel at night when it is coldest so I won't be overheating and sweating from travelling loaded with heavy junk and covered in plastic and thick clothing.

Yes yes yes. I'm saving your post. I forgot about the white paint. Good job! Lead and most solid objects can block Alpha and beta particles. A+ for covering the fallout direction. Looking for flags and detecting wind direction is good for avoiding the fallout.
