Post What's on Your Mind

The Ghost Shards team consists of 5 people - with only 2 of us being able to use RPG Maker decently. The other 3 have other uses/skills like music or writing for example. They all want to help, and even learn RM. I want to motivate them more.

Would this motivate YOU?

Time/evaluation sheets are more for keeping tabs, in good environments it's treated as a formality for internal assessment rather than individual performance.

If they want to learn RPG Maker give them responsibilities within the engine. Ask them to block out maps for gameplay so the art team can iterate on them later, or ask for music or dialogue cues to be designed in the event system on a test map.

Peri, that's amazing. I'm not a huge fan of the character expressions, though. The website is also quite nice. I like how clean it is.
What don't you like about the character expressions? I mean, they're done and paid for at this point, so it's probably too late, but I'm curious.

I like the website as well.

It puts my indie dev website to shame. XD
It's a pretty standard Wordpress site. Wordpress is really easy to use; I didn't write a lick of code aside from a little CSS. Most of the niceness is from the theme I got.

Most of these are like those responsibilities, though we'll be using themes to help. Many of them making their town games for sure, but I think they could use a little push. :(

So is ours, though I couldn't find such a theme that's similar. o.o

I'd like to buy a theme, but I dunno.

I'm spoiling the kids. Doing everything they ask. We play video games. We play with dolls. We eat ice cream, they have chocolate on their face and I'm like whatever, let kids be kids. My sister is shaking her head and pointing out how I can't say no.
Then I'm drawing ponies on the marker board for my niece while she's writing the alphabet. I tell her she wrote letters backwards. She says "It's fine" and I'm like...
I didn't draw this but it adds to the anecdote.

I guess they look kind of artificial. It's hard to explain. Or perhaps I'm just used to the RPG Maker anime expressions.

I'm exactly the same with my nieces.

jesus fucking christ hyperdimension neptunia
story boss is unkillable so i have to grind so i spend an hour grinding, only to run into an enemy that looks identical to the regular ones but one-hit kills + takes no damage, and i cant flee

so i die

and my save file goes back to an hour ago

fuck this game

My family is all over my business and I hate it. I know I should have a stable job, and I'm looking for one. Besides, all I really want is to get into medical residency. Hoping not to sound like an angst-riddle teen, I wish they would leave me alone.

Which game? The Re:Birth series on PC are incredibly easy to beat. 3rd one has the worst ending ever. I accidentally the final boss.
