Yeah, Birthright. It's really fun so far, but I'm thinking of rerolling as a mage and playing classic. Because I hate myself and it makes my game time much more stressful.
I've been playing birthright too, I think I'm at chapter 16. I am playing on hard mode, casual. it's kind of kicking my ass, there are so many enemy units sometimes. it would be killer if I was playing on classic. I've gotten about 6-7 units upgraded to their final class. I think my favorite character is oboro and she kicks so much ass. Silas, the horse rider, is probably my second choice.
I'm on the Ninja Village chapter ATM, whichever that one is. I'm digging Silas too; he's my second or third heaviest hitter. Is Oboro the violet haired fortune-teller chick? I kind of like her if it is, though I haven't used her for long.
oboro is the blue haired spear warrior. Orachi is the fortune teller. unfortunately I don't use her, I'm kind of kicking myself in the toosh because I don't have any magic users.
I also wish there was an elemental triangle like previous games but whatever.
Orochi is my primary mage right now, if only for lack of options. As I understand, Hayate is an absolute powerhouse if you take the time to level him up, so I'm trying that. I'm leveling Mozu as well, just to see what she can do; her initial skill is great anyways so I think will pay off.
So there could be two Pokémon games announced on tomorrows direct; Sun and Moon... I still need to finish X and then play through Alpha Sapphire before I'm caught up on the games, lol, either way, if true (The logos for both games were leaked today, and the direct is tomorrow, so it seems likely), I'll go with Moon...
Usually my pokemon choices pretty much depend on what my bro (and his gf) get.
For Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow my bro wants yellow and his gf want blue so I'll be getting red.
But if this set is true, I'll grab Sun most likely. Need that Vit D Bro.
I've been pretty absent/distracted this last week. Spent a few days playing video games. Visited family. Now I'm dog sitting, which is becoming an annual thing.
Picking up where I left off is difficult. I'm wondering how I'm going to get back into my previous frame of mind. But maybe this is an opportunity to create a new mindset, because the old one wasn't very productive.
Things are about to get flipped upside-down in my life. I could take this opportunity to try and produce the visual-novel/adventure-game I've been planning for so long, or I could play it safe and sensible.
I believe I have the runway (definitely do) to pull off going full indie and making a complete game on my lonesome, but I am unsure if I would be able to actually complete it.
It also means killing my social life, and as I'm a single guy right now that's not really too much of a problem. I'll be stuck at home for a bit longer if I do this and I'll be burning cash.
What would you guys do?
EDIT: I can easily play it safe and get a regular job - I might even be able to do some freelancing (yesterday I got paid a small amount for writing an MV Plugin that fixed a bug in MV, so that's shown me that I can probably go freelance).
