Neverwinter Nights II

Don't ever buy it unless you have a lot of spare time on your hands and some C# knowledge. You'll need to spend days or weeks fixing up all of the errors left by Obsidian, along with finishing all of the things they decided to cut mid way. With NWN2, it's like you're buying a car that you're going to fix up. It runs, but it does so poorly.

Hell, sometimes the cut scenes don't even shoot like they're supposed to, so you have to activate them via console. After all of the fixing though, the game is awesome. Modding it is easy. My Tiefling actually looks more like a Tiefling, with wings and a tail.

Quantum: I just got the MW graphics extender, and Tribunal and Bloodmoon. I also found a mod for mountable Pack-Guars, and a better clothes mod.

Does the Daggerfall Combat controls thing(in the gfx extender) change the controls themselves, or just how you swing your weapon?

Right now, I've only changed it to anti-alias the graphics 6x, and I've heard that the Distant Land thing is no good.

Or you can just install the expansions and patch it. Whichever way is easier for you, though.

tonight I'll have to make a list of mods I use that I would recommend for you, but atm I can't access my computer. I'll get back to you tomorrow.

As for the daggerfall, i've never used it. you need to bind a macro to toggle that on-off, so i would assume it's easy to switch back and forth between the two. I'll test that out tonight too.

I did upload that video I said I would upload, but my computer is 3 years old, so I can barely handle the graphics when my FRAPS is recording, resulting in 5 fps average framerate. Either way, I managed to do a run through Seyda Neen with my current gfx settings (there's a bug or two due to conflicting mods, resulting in an NPC spawning inside a tree though).

Here's the Vid with my laggy old computer, it's pretty nice though, and I do have distant land on, just on lower settings:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=573_vXgMmmY

I'll put the description of the vid in spoilers to shorten the post length (recommended to read, since it tells you the max gfx available compared to what you currently see):

This is nowhere near the max graphics available, my computer is too old to handle anything better.
The mesh detail is set on Low, instead of the max of Ultra High, the world resolution has a max of over 8000, this is only about 2000 (don't remember exact #'s), you can see all the map at once with the distant lands feature, I'm only seeing 3 cells away. The high detail shadows feature is turned off. And this just with the Morrowind Graphics Extender. I've also got several re-texture mods installed, including vality's bitter coast and ascadian isles, better bodies, and Morrowind Visual Pack, among others. Then there's the ENB series that I do not have installed on this that adds Bloom, HDR, Occlusion, plus more. Not to mention the elusive Grass mod created by Vality, which I have not been able to find (if you know a link to download this that still works, please post it, it would be immensely appreciated).

Morrowind certainly can handle much more graphics-intensive settings, but my 3 year old computer cannot. Sorry for the 5fps throughout the video, I edited it as best I could to make it run smoother.

There's a couple dozen mods combined to make my game, so a list is necessary if you want it to look similar to mine. I'll make a download file of my many mods if you want, for quick and easy installation of all or select ones, instead of hunting through half the internet.

I think I'm gonna take a crack at Baldur's Gate. It's for PC, right?

Yeah, its a fun game too. I've got BG 2: Shadows of Amn on my PC. Don't play it much anymore though, currently involved with morrowind lol.

Too bad that fixes virtually nothing. The main campaign is still buggy, lacks content, and has cut scenes that break.

MotB is fantastic though. Not many errors there.
