Big News on the Management Side!

The team (known as OpenedMind) as been renamed as "2 Dee 2 Doo" !
We do have a composer for our game, a new member in the Team, Lockee (not registered here)!

Is already working on some bgms! And you should be able to listen some of his work very soon.

ArcTrooper48 is working on the spriting right now, creating the 1st boss!

Simple but obvious, we forgot after renaming the project to update the title screen, it's fixed now.
Enjoy!

I watched the youtube video, and I really liked the paralax thing you've got going on in the background.  I'm a big fan of Castlevania games (especially the newest one for DS), so good luck with this.

More imoportantly,
we're going through some re-design with the interface, especially the menu.

We've finally got our gameplay designed:p We'll explain it quite soon.

The physics engine is nicely coming along its process.

Don't you know ? Bump it up, you've got to bump it up! :haha:

Anyway! Just to introduce a new member to the team, as a new composer (so we got 2 composers now): Aeternia
Fan of castlevania, and of some metal, he already started doing some remixes of famous Castlevania themes, and it rocks! (and roll)

(Sorry for my poor Play-on-Words)

- The website should open quite soon (matter of 3-4 weeks I think)
- We shall soon show you the new interface design! ^^ (in a week or two, in order to script those)
- We'll redo the project presentation^^ in the 1st post, to make it prettier and update it!

So you don't have to quad-post, but also because I really love when someone is making a non-jrpg in RPG Maker I'll just say it's one of a few projects I'm really waiting for. Could you prepare some new video from the game? Maybe with some platform jumping? Th physics engine is impressive (you of course now that :) I knew the VX exe was much stronger than XP's one, but you've seemed to push it to the limits. Congrats, good luck and keep up :D

well you know... any advanced graphics package allows you to make sweet graphics.... it doesn't matter what the engine is, as long as it displays it, the game will look pretty ;)

Arev > I'll do more videos when the new interface is complete, and working. that will be one... then i'll do another one when i finish the new physics engine, (1st of april) or maybe before showing some test version of it, if i'm really excited with dull graphics... and then some proper alpha-gameplay(basic moves/attacks).

EDIT > Woot page 4 !

Here`s what it looks like... Most of the basic movements are complete now ( sorry if i don't show jump in the vid, we need physics enabled, and physics masks for that to work ....)and we are proud to present them to you in motion....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXjcWsD73Ok

A nice 12 frames for the walk loop, and a total of 16 frames for the complete cycle... Same as in Symphony of the night... The stance animation has 20 frames!!! Well hope y'all like this....

Sorry for being quiet for sometime...

Just wanted to let you know I'm still around, and have been working on the boss in and out, fixing all the kinks in his leg movement (Beasts have never been my specialty). Creating the rider wasn't too hard though. I'll mail you an update once I'm satisfied with what I've created (If it disappoints me, then it might disappoint you also).

Also, if you have any "whip"-fodder designed, I'd be happy to "whip" something up like that!

I also like what you've "whipped" up, Icedelta! Ok, I need to stop with the puns...

Also, will you be having a completely original song in the game titled after the subtitle? It seems that all the newer castlevania' have tracks with titles similar to the full game title.

Really nice! This is probably the best VX (even XP) game ive seen when it's about physics and scripts/graphics and such. Awesome!
