Finally got my computer working now I can get back to art.
Of course I had to do one of Ale because she'd been asking me do draw her for a while now...I botched the composition because I wasn't paying attention until it was to late. Not a fan of how the eyes came out [[she's had hard to draw eyes]] the hair is actually my favorite part! Haha. Anyways. Yeah. I'll draw guys I swear it.

You can also see I got incredibly lazy on the necklace and the small part of the hand.
The chin is also to squared in a sense. I needed to round out the left [[our left]] side more. But whatever. I'll get it.

I need to focus more on anatomy actually because mine is just down right horrid. :/

the "laziness" on the chain is forgiveable, its not exactly the focal point. The hand though...
The lips are the best part - aside from the fact that you got the asian look down.

Edit: on another note.

So my computer has a major virus from like 4 years ago that was stored on the harddrive and now I can't access photoshop, I can't reinstall Painter X and the only way to get rid of the bitch permanently is to wipe my entire computer which means I'm going to loose all of my PSD's, Tiff's and Riff's.

So thats why there hasn't been any art lately. Like literally this thing is about to bite the dust and its all because my brother just had to install The Sims 2 >:v

Invest in an ex. harddrive. Put PSD's on it. Wipe. Win.

Hahah yeah its alright. I'll get it one of these days...hopefully? I've noticed that painter puts down rougher lines than photoshop and thats why some of my things look incredibly blurred [[the ones in photoshop]] and some don't. But glad you like! :]  thanks shadow.

Nice stuff as usual. Same ol' nice people. Up the sharpness though, its kinda blurtastic. If you increase the sharpness in the face, it'll create a nice contrast between the face and body, making it more clear.

Hahaha. Yeah I've noticed that. I'm not used to using sharp brushes because when I do it tends to look incredibly odd to me. But I will try to keep the blur to minimum because I've figured out a style I like for now.

I'm not to sure what it means but its her myspace url name thingy. So I figured I'd name it after that because its the only ways I can actually remember how to spell her name correctly. Hah.

And in the spirit of posting two paintings at once I will actually present my first speed painting.

Only about an hour and a half on this one and it gave me that look that I'm looking for. I just need to work on refining it and yeah then I should be straight. I realized that on my other ones I tend to slow down and try to mix the colors and get tones super correct and things like that and in doing so it tends to lead to "meh" kinda results. So I'll try it this way for a while and not worry to much about blending in the colors. :thumb:

Still  no guys yet. I don't know why either. Most of my friends are chicks. :/

30 mins? Nice. very impressive. You seem to have a knack for portraits and people. Are you majoring in art? And if so what?

You know what the next step is after you fix your sharpness? An actual background.
your facial anatomy is good, and your palette is rounded towards mono-chromatic. So right now the only thing that really catches the attention is the brightness of the skin, but then the saturated red of the lips. So my eye is like "BAM, THOSE LIPS ARE SO SEXY".

Now git and expand.

Yeah 30 mins thats why the right side of his face is botched. Hahaha XD. I want to get faster so I'm just sticking with the brush I usually use to paint hair with. It seems to be working for the most part.


And awww thanks. :] I'm not in school though. :[ I can't go because my dad lied on his taxes and they decided to take away our ability to go to college. At least easily. Can't get financial aid, scholarships or anything of that nature. But I was majoring in art . Graphics art and things like that. I'd like to slowly move towards comic art though but I don't know I get stuck? I suck at a lot of things. I got 3 years to get my shit in order though so thats what I'm striving for. And oh yeah I do gotta watch that! Its because I try to eye the colors and match them going off of what I see. Because at first I sucked ass at colors but now I can pick out the shades that make up things but still can't manage to get lip colors right. Grr. BUT for the most part all of this is for practice so I can ultimately become an artist of some sorts so yeah. I feel you. I like that post as well. Got me kinda motivated. Hah.

Anyways I shall do that. I should try some landscapes and things like that but I've yet to understand them. So I give up.

But I wil give it a go. Draw like mountains and eventually move towards coming up with things out of the top of my head.

U gave him girly lips, but otherwise, huzzah men. Tone the red down in his lips a bit. looks too much like lipstick.

Magic arrays? I'm kinda confused there. And yeah I should tone them down. I suck at matching the color of lips without directly picking the color from them. Grr. I'll get it though. Hahaha but yeah will do :thumb:

I can't make them to much darker because looking at his pic he has some pretty pink lips. :/ plus to match with the sorta mellowed out warm colors I think they look okay. But I don't know. Its always best to get anothers opinion.
