That's the main shopping areas. I'm about 2 miles away but pass through regularly.
Wolverhampton's currently peaceful. Well, not peaceful, teenagers dancing the macarana in Queen Square; but it's all tidy other than the independant shopkeepers boarding up their stores in tears. A few shops completely ransacked - Footlocker, music shop in queen street, etc - and kids throwing rocks at the bus on the way home. A few people pointing and laughing at the police and the shopkeepers. Happy I didn't know any of them!

Yeah but they should atleast try, I mean, they've got little silly round shields and battons, whereas the rioters have guns and molotovs and baseball bats and just, y'know, things that hurt people more... and it's even worse that people have been posting videos and you can see the police are watching people loot buildings and doing nothing about it... I mean, what are they getting paid to do exactly.
I know it's country wide but damn they could atleast use some sort of firepower, even tear gas in crowds or something, and I'm sure I heard a suggestion about bringing the army in, which as over the top as it sounds, could really work if they just let them open fire with rubber bullets (If it were me I'd have them using real bullets, but apparently that's not the best idea) or use attack dogs or something, I don't really know.

Three men have been run over and killed as they protected property in a second night of violence in Birmingham.
The men aged 31, 30 and 20 were hit by a car in Winson Green. They were taken to City Hospital where about 200 people from the Asian community gathered.
Witnesses said the men were in a group protecting their community after riot police were called into the city.
Police have arrested a 32-year-old who is being questioned on suspicion of murder following the deaths.

That whole idea of multi-cultural Europe will soon doom us all if governments will not fix immigration laws etc.

No, they just care for yourselfs. I can imagine that some "anti-racist" politicians/organisations/shit will start blabling about police beign racist just because they used force against bunch of immigrants. If rioters were 100% white people they just will beat shit out of them, because NO ONE will care.

dude i feel so super bad for the little private shopkeepers. that is horrible. i hope that they can recoup their losses somehow. but i can only imagine that some of them will just be so heartbroken about it and so hassled by insurance that they'll just give up & close for good.
i can see looting big gigantic retail giants like footlocker or department stores ... they can take a hit or two and keep rolling. (though it's still fucked up).
but sacking a single person's or single family's private business, which is quite likely their sole source of income ... and idk if any of you own/know someone who owns a small business, but you pour EVERYTHING into making it work ...

fuckin awful.You can't say that this case isn't about a race and racism. Of course not whole case is about racism, but a major portion is. Deal with it. Humanity is just too stupid in general to get rid off racism unless there will be only one race. And even in that case peoples would find something similar just to have "rights" to punch someone else in face. Fucked up world. ;x
