@Skyler: Thanks, but I don't need any help at the moment. I'll remember your offer though.

---UPDATE---

It has been nearly two years since a proper gameplay demo of Last Man's Stand. And that was the very first original demo, which involved massive green mutants, a penknife that cut through solid steel, and the easiest boss in the world. I'm confident to say things have moved on a bit since then. But now Demo V0.2 is scheduled to be released in 8 days time.

It will include two proper missions, three weapons, 6 tracks from the Official Soundtrack, a very small portion of the city to explore, and a boss. So it should be good fun!

Last Man's Stand got nominated for the Favorite unreleased game since .Net's creation award! Thanks to those who voted. Please, now vote for it to go further (and win possibly?). On top of that, I've updated the screenshot section with some new screens from the official website, to show off the game better. Unfortunatly, as you've probably guessed by now, the demo has been delayed, but I should have some new stuff out soon.

Congratulations Fox on being nominated for the favorite unreleased game! Also congratulations for leadings so far! Hope that continues! Thats to bad that your demo is late  , but trust me people its well wroth the wake  the boss battle is boss lol. Good luck with finishing the demo :thumb:

Thank you LumberWarrior. Also, LumberWarrior has created some awesome support banners for LMS. So please, paste one into your sigs, and vote LMS!

Thanks Orges. The banner is quite good. I like the animation.

---UPDATE---

As you all know, the demo has been delayed, but I now have a proper release date for it. Demo V0.2 will be released on the 11th July for the official website, and 5 days after that for .org. So if you want the demo quick, the LMS site is the place to go. As I said before, the demo has two missions similar to those that will appear in the real game, as well as new music and a boss. I spent yesterday morning completeing the boss dieing animation, and believe me, it's not for the faint of heart. I won't be posting the animation here, as I want it to be a suprise for the game.

So, get ready for the 11th of July for the first proper LMS gameplay release!

lol, good job, glad you're looking forward to the release. Just to let you know, the person to ever kill the most zombie in that demo was Necrile, who got 569. And yes, I've seen proof.

Last Man's Stand is in the finals of the ORGY's! Please, this is the last chance to vote for us! VOTE VOTE VOTE! Thank you.

OK, with the website crashing, as I'm sure all the members of the site are aware of, since a lag error caused everyone to get 50 odd of the same warning email, I'm afraid the demo has been, once again, put back. I'm really sorry. But at least it means I'll have time to correct and add to it.
Secondly, the main page of the Official Site is being revamped, so at the moment, you can either get to the site via the main page (under construction), at the normal address: http://www.lastmansstand.com, or go straight to the actual site, which is now situated at http://community.lastmansstand.com/home. But however you do it, the site is back up, and I hope to see everyone return.

Ok, that's enough about the site, now about the game. Not the demo, but the game. I'm now going to have a small section of the game take part in FEMA (The Federal Emergency Management Agency), and I've started working on some custom tilesets for that. I've finished the main opperating room, and once the demo is released, I'll have some screens.

Finally, thanks to all of you who voted for us in the Orgys. Results are today, so fingers crossed!

EDIT: And then, after all that, we won our category at the Orgys! Thanks to all who voted!

Three posts and no replies? Well, I have something to update. The site is finally properly up and running, with the new main page working fine as well as the community site. Please come and join us there. I am pleased to announce that the demo is finally complete, and is now being tested for errors. Demo V0.2 will be released on the LMS website in 4 days time, and here on .org and the other rmxp sites in 12 days time. Those are real release dates, lol. They are set in stone. Not like the other two.

Ok, an update on the main game. I said above about a new scene set in FEMA, and I have the first screen of that here, along with one more from the demo.

All released LMS screens can now be seen here: http://community.lastmansstand.com/photos/album/0
I will let you know when the demo is released.

Congratulations on the win! :)

I've been looking through the front page and I have to say that I am very impressed. All the systems you've implemented work well together and I like that it's a lot different from the average XP game. I especially like how you have custom graphics and battle system and everything else - it really makes it stand out, especially because of all the work you've put into it. I'm looking forward to playing the new demo when it comes out!

Thank you Miss Dani. I'm glad you're looking forward to playing it. And hopefully you really shouldn't have long to wait now until the release. I'm hoping for it to be the end of today, or tommorow morning. To be able to play this demo, I'm afraid you're going to have to be a member of lastmansstand.com, as you will need a pass key found only there to download it. However, membership is free and quick, so I hope that won't put anyone off. Also on the site, we have a new music player, where you can now listen to the four main LMS themes.

Amazing work. Even in that tiny demo, it was tuned well, the atmosphere was very creepy, I enjoyed it immensely. It even felt a bit scary, having 20 zombies shamble towards you, and when they bite you, God, my heart jumped. Excellent job. I do hope this is finished.

This game is one of those games that get a major up, because it has blood and gore in it, I'm not much of a fan of this myself but I'd say this is like Resident evil, this is a good game, but I'm not much of a fan, Good job though!

Thank you and have a bloody day!

@The-Revolution: Thank you. Glad to see that people who liked the game before still like it now.
@shrub74: Great, thanks for playing, but really, you want to play the new demo (look below!)
@zchin131: Actually, blood and gore isn't a main focus of LMS. It just happens to be there on top. The main focuses are on the action, the horror scares, and the exploration side. And actually, surprisingly, the storyline. But thanks for the comments anyway.

---IT'S HERE!!---

Finally, the LMS Demo V0.2 is here, and availible for download. Thank god. It took a long while coming, but you can finally play it. I said you needed to be a member of the site, so if you click here, you can join quickly, and get the pass code for the latest demo. Then if you click 'Downloads', you will be asked to enter the password, and then you can download the demo (it's the first in the list). If you have IE, you can read the topic named 'Internet Explorer password work around' to bypass a small error. So:

Passcode:
http://community.lastmansstand.com/talks/983783

Actual Download:
http://lmsdownload.uuuq.com/

Enjoy, and please leave comments either here, or on the site. If you come across any errors, please read the Support FAQ before posting on the site. Thanks!
