Ah TCOFA! I always like to hear your thoughts ^^ always one to make a person think about something in depth.
-Salt water and Hair; well I figured since the merpersons aren't human the structure of their bodies and hair differ. I.E. I did think to make the merpeople's body on whole more fish like. (Not half human body and half fish scales) Thier body is more like a shark, in that it is cartiledge like enabling them to go to deeper depths and not be flattened by the high pressure of the ocean. So since their skin/body is different, their hair is obviously a different structure than the humans, and able to survive the salt.
Also, the setting is inside the palace of Atlantia, which is surrounded by a shield (the shield has different settings, it can act like an osmosis membrane and filter out salt from the water, OR filter out just the oxygen particles and leave behind the hydrogen and turn the water's liquid form to a gaseous form.) So it's not really salt water INSIDE the palace or city, but fresh water, and if needed, say if the more human like travelers needed it air.
Also Atlantians have nanites that enable them to live under high pressure, because of a force field they generate around their bodies. As a result Atlantians are a bit stronger than their human counterparts because they are used to high pressure, but a planets surface is less pressere...I'm going to go TOO in depth -_-; It'll all be explained in my game though!
But Atlantians and Merperson's are BOTH mammals and still need air to breathe occasionally so they can't stay underwater for prolonged periods of time.
(lot of story for my story, I've thought a lot of things out)
-Fabric is not the same density nor feel as hair. It's a little heavier, (you can't see the bottom, the dress continues off the page as it were, it'd be more detailed and ladened down with pearls and jewelry)
-Mermaid poses static; hrm..I guess I could always have them..different. I thought there was a lot of movement though -_- can't win 'em all! I'll try to do something more next time, to make the people less staticy...(A word?)
Thanks for the C&C!
