I'm not doubting my self.

If I was.. I'd have quit a long time ago... like the first year.

I generally like to hear what the public would like. That is how I work, I can please my self with limited amounts of things, but pleasing others is different. So what I may think is best may not be enough, which is why I ask at all.

I disagree somwhat Meti, I mean the public IS who plays the games, I'm sure Axe didn't make it all for himself, otherwise that would...defeat the purpose of a thread on it XD.
 
Thank you, but... I am not the only one who you should be praising. This project would not be possible if it was not for our amazing spriters, musician, and all the scripters who made it possible. Gratheo, Dawne, Nononick, -Kira-, Malick, Shizu, and many others for scripts. So this one goes to you guys! Keep up the awesome work!
 
I have a little surprise update. I am going to show everyone the entire layout of Frozen Falls Cavern, the next dungeon in episode 2. It is built into a frozen glacial mountain, you can tell what each map is, from the Floor or Basement indicator, as well as the height of these maps. The maps also go outside onto the mountain side, but i can't show that it would take up to much space, as this one already is. The maps are from a 2x (1/2) view so sorry for them being small, it was the only way to show them all at a decent and equal proportionate size. I hope you all will be happy that each floor of this dungeon will have enemies and plenty of puzzles. I put a lot of work into these maps, it took me about 8 hours total to do all 10. It is also a bit hard to notice depth perception with the size it shows here, and the fact photobucket resizes big images, doesn't help... But trust me it is there. The F1.2 will be submerged underwater... hard to tell now, but it will be. Every thing should be lined up correctly as well... so enjoy!

Thank you, as said before it has taken 8 hours to do that. The dungeon doesn't have any events yet, but I planned the terrain ahead of time to support older subcharacter puzzles, classic player puzzles, and a new subcharacter puzzle. I try to think "Dynamic" when I map. I may remove terrain some and replace it with events so that I can get more depth effects going.

I'm glad you all like it.

As well, I found a solution to text lag. And applying it to the game as we speak. I can't wait to release a new demo sometime. Again thanks for the support!
 
Alright, I'm going to leave a little request update. Currently I still need more breeze spriters, but not exactly for characters, but more for enemies. This requires some enemies to be made into miniature monsters with the breeze style. Here is an example from one of our spriters. If anyone is interested in work like this I have plenty for you. They will need to be semi mean, but still could give off that charm that most Breeze sprites do. So please let me know. PM would be respected for anyone who wants to help with this.

there are loads of monster spriters out there if you pay them lol. but on a game with 0 budget you will be best of looking for some of the big names and begging really :) prob what i will do when i get to that stage. :D

But im sure there are a few around here that will be interested in this project.

I'm a spriter, and I'm working on Breeze monsters for Kailis. I'm also working for free. There are free monster spriters out there, there just aren't that many.

Your contributions for this project...no not project, game, have been phenomenal. I am so glad to have you as one of my spriters. Your work has been nothing less than amazing. So thank you for all of your constant hard work.

I do agree, there are spriters out there, there are some out there that it is all they will ever sprite. Some people only sprite humans, some only do battlers, some only do icons, it is just the person behind the skill.

As a note for development, once I have some more stuff to work with and maybe even begin to really remap, I will post a screenshot in breeze, so everyone can see our progress so far :)

Hello All,
Currently we have about 16+ kinds of different looking enemies at the moment, we also will have plenty more. All of those will be for the first dungeon. I plan on upping the amount of enemies throughout the dungeon, possibly expanding it more, and adding more puzzles to accommodate this. As well we have more of the Soku goblin clan being produced as well. We plan on having enemies animated as well, so look forward to that. I was originally going to release the new demo sooner, but with these new updates it will take a bit more time, but they will be there.

As well the Kailis cast continues to grow, here is a little more of what we have. The top row are important characters, the bottom are lesser important characters such as teleportal guardians, enemies, guards, etc.

So now you know what we are doing, expect much more from Kailis than what was originally proposed, it is getting so much better. In addition to our spritework, we have gotten a few more songs from our musician, but you'll have to wait till the demo to hear them ;) And we are also getting new artwork for the game, again to only be seen in the next demo, I want to wow all of you with this new content when it is here :)

Nope we are still going, harder than ever. I still highly encourage everyone to read the update on the previous page though, it has some new visuals for people to see how our amazing spriters have been working with Breeze!
 
Depends when everything is finished, we still have quite a few main characters unmade, such as Reyvk, Ryve, and Lord Longcrest... As well many NPC's... Young Luna, Young Rikki, Children, the different kinds of Wyvra, etc. As well we are still working with our tilesets to get them done, so maybe a month or so, maybe sooner it all depends. As well we are waiting on art and music too, so yeah, it all depends on time and how fast things get done :)

I said I wouldn't release anything about the text works, well I decided to make a mock up of what it will be like, I won't give more than this but expect it to be pretty cool, I am also hoping to animate the characters still, so don't think that will go away :)
