Okay, I've downloaded the game. Now I'm stuck on the part with the switch and the cart. It's right after the abandoned town. Any help?
EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. I think I'm going to have to start over though - I didn't get any daggers from the giant bird. You know, the one outside, the one with the screw? Or is that the wrong bird?
ANOTHER EDIT: Never mind, I found the daggers. XD I can't stop editing this post!
YET ANOTHER EDIT: Okay, I'm on chapter 4. I'm playing as Theo, and I just reached the color barrels. I have no clue what to do. Any help?

Your doing fine. But if your stuck alot of the puzzle answers are within the thread. But if someone happens to look before you solve them I'm sure you'll get your help. You almost done I think. Which reminds me. Is the final chapter still going to be finished by the middle of the month? It's only a few days away.

Also. Because I have to keep deleting messeges from my in box about how do I do this or that in the game I've created a small walkthrough with answers to the most common puzzle questions I get. It's at the top of the page on the first post. (In the spoiler tab).
On another note. With my new project "The Black effect" started I admit progress has been slow on this final chapter. But I didn't want to just throw the last chapter together to simply get it finished. For some reason this game has become very well liked around the internet so I wanted to be sure and make the best ending I could. Thanks to everyone who has and is supporting this project. With almost 2000 downloads in the short time it's been around I figure it deserves not to be ended in a rush. The final chapter should be ready for testing in a day or 2 for any who wish to help in that area.

what do i do in the room whith the cart and the switch?

Prince_of_thieves. For the longest time I could not figure out that error you got. It only happened to a few people. I fixed the error and re-uploaded the game, but you have the other version. This is why it does that. If you have a save game before or around the last scene you jumped across a fire pit, that's what caused the problem. If your close go back and stand on the first ledge, that'll fix the problem. When I made the jumping event (This was my first project remember) I had to set the passability all over the place when jumping. If you got fried by the fire, and never stepped back on the first tile (At the first ledge) the passability was not fixed.

I played this the other day and here is my thoughs on it. This game is a great game. Really worth playing for anyone. I think i'll split this up into goods and bads.
The Good:
* Excellent story. After you get past the initial first part of the game the story really picks up.
* Great puzzles. Not too easy some of them but not too hard. A few are very easy but only if you think outside the box. The one that always comes to mind is the switches and the pot.
* Good dialouge. Really. Some of the best I've seen for the most part.
* Good maps for the most part.
* And again, great story (For the most part. More on that later).
And now the not so good.
* It's pretty much a dungeon crawl. But I suppose that's not a bad thing. I understand this was for a contest, so it's okay. The story makes up for it.
* Very easy battles. Just mash the action button for the most part. Although this does slightly improve in the later part of the game.
* I CANT STAND THAT DONKEY KONG JUMP OVER THE ROCKS part later in the game.
* The final 15 minutes. I was expecting a huge battle at the end. You did everything right. Started it, built it up, and then... Well. I don't want to spoil it. I also think that I just don't like the way you ended it. Don't get me wrong, the dialouge was good, the way you presented it was good. I just didn't like the end itself.
All in all. This is a great game. And for your first project it is really spectacular. 5/5 easy in my books. I just don't like the end. But that may be personal. We shall see what everyone else thinks. I expect to see a really great game with your sequel the black effect. Again. Thank you for making me think with that story.

IsabelleM. I'm not sure which part your on. But.
If your on the first time in the town with Hex and gang there is a switch in the top house in the corner of the kitchen.
If it's the second time, the bottom house on the right. Look at the old dead man then try and leave the house. The answer will be there.
