One note on the mod point:
I believe that that mentality is not entirely from this site. I've been all over the net, from the Nintendo forums (before they disappeared) to many harder to find forums that were actually fairly large, considering. One of the most consistent things about those forums was that the larger they were, the more likely it was that the MODs and ADMINs apparently only posted to make sure things operated properly, and the more common it was for them to avoid sharing opinions. Even in the official Nintendo forums, they had a tendency to only post their opinions on topics regarding the rules. This being a rather large community, the rule was essentially the same up intil the regime change. That is why there is such an attitude. It comes not only from here, but everywhere. That's also why when you come across a small fan forum, you often see a much more outspoken set of MODs, and a much better behaved set of members.
