Is it really going to help delivering a message in a patronising tone when you want people to act more mature about things? Seems a contradiction to me.  How Volrath put it was just as coherent.

It doesn't matter what way it was written, the people it's aimed at are unlikely to listen, and for those that do, do they really take it in anyway? The whole point is that there is a problem, no, no kind of topic will solve the problem, but its a step towards dealing with it, or not dealing with it as the case may prove to be.

I disagree.  I don't consider myself to be the target for this topic but if I was I wouldn't take away anything from it if it was conveyed to me like that, the same rule applies to anything being told to you in everyday life in such a manner.

By just bombarding messages about how shit normal members are and how good staff members are it just creates a bigger gap that benefits nobody in the long run.  Discussion between members and staff should be on the same level but this just creates a gap and as a "member" I get a bit bored of reading how collectively terrible we are.

Yes. And you know, this kind of shit not only insults the memberbase, but it insults people like me who genuinely want to/work for this site to be respected, to CONSTANTLY put it down. And actually, I've seen a marked improvement in the overall posting quality in general as of late. And I hate to break it to all of you, but there will ALWAYS be n00bs on popular forums, so just stfu and warn/ban them????

Whatever. I've complained enough about this shit in the staff forum. I'm done.

Newsflash: You dont have to stay here, pal.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that, I was completely certain I was stuck here.

And on a less sarcastic note, yes, I have expressed my dislike of some staff members, so what? I just don't like whining.
I'm not going to stop going somewhere because of a few annoying people.
lol, internet, lol.

Here's the best tip I can give: post less, lurk MOAR!!

(+10 for telling weeabo to STFU.)
lol, 4-chan, lol

You've spoken about it in the past though about mod on / mod off.  This is easy for anyone over 18 to do.  I act like a fag and troll a lot of the time too but I could easily interchange between the two without a problem.

I'll try and make it clear I've got ZERO issue with your posting style.  I also genuinely don't care too much as I'm out in 2 weeks but as an observation if you want people to change you will at times need to post with some degree of respect and Venetia's right.  This site in comparison to say gamingw is so easy to find if you have rmxp in google.  Noobs will come and we have to give them a little bit of time.

As a note this was my first forum, I'm 22 and that was like 2 years ago, maybe 3.  I made mistakes and didn't quite know how to act myself.  Of course I don't even consider there to be a way to act now but that's because it's second nature.

(ps you accidentally spelt my name wrong)

Hell yes we do. However there are far to many noobs who have been given plenty of time, and yet show no signs of improvent. Of course it takes a while to settle and realize how forum posting is supposed to work, but some people just don't seem to be making that effort. We all make a few mistakes the first few weeks or months of our forum days then we improve rapidly, but some people seem to be taking years.

I believe that this happens because a majority of the time when they make a shitty post/topic they are ridiculed and e-humiliated and not actually helped, thus resulting in them either leaving or making more shitty posts/topics.

I've not disagreed with that.  These people your talking about in my opinion will generally fit into 2 categories.

1.  YOUNG (and/or) NEW as in aren't that sharp and are too immature to care.

2.  CASUAL MEMBERS as in people that only rmxp as something to play with and don't really care about learning their way around the forums.

Whether we need them / want to ban them whatever I don't care (it's not my decision) but I can't imagine an 18 year old who genuinely wants to get into rmxp acting like a tard non-stop.

ok first of all, des couldn't have said it any better. c'on, if you don't like it, gtfo, don't start making topics about how you don't like swearing or gay/dick jokes. They are the dungeon masters, we are only players.

we're supposed to dedicate time to noobs, and we do, but we shouldn't let that stop this frorum from progress.

we need casual members. they are the "active part" of the community wich makes games, really.

ps: anime sucks especially naruto so if you like it then STOP. and stop drawing in anime style it's not COOL and no matter what your art will suck if its anime

Just a comment, you really shouldn't (or should I say can't?) tell people that they can't use a certain art style.
And then trying to enforce that, or by openly discouraging anime style in a project thread, you just contradict yourself:
