Final Fantasy VI SDK - Going Social!

Everything is coming along pretty well! (Except for the editor...) I want to concentrate on the battle system, the animated battlers, battle commands etc. for the next demo. However, I have to slow down a bit on this project because I'm working on something new with Campus Ubisoft. We started working on a game 3 weeks ago and it's taking a lot of my time. Around 40 hours a week! I don't even have time to work on the site anymore.

I'm afraid the next 10 weeks will be hard for the FFVI SDK.

I'll try to keep you updated as much as possible.

I have a question/request.

Could you make the wavy battle screen on terrain 3 insted of 1? Because I'm wanting to use a bit of mode 7 but terrain 1 and 2 are the non-slanted terrains. You know... like on FFIV advance. Tower of Babil stuck up, the castles stuck up, ect.
 
Well... all right, then. Will classes be customizeable, too? Like there is no gunner in FFVI, will I be able to have a weapon that uses up ammo/arrows? Not talking auto-cross-bow either.

Does Anybody still work on this project coz i think it has real potential but i have found a couple of bugs ie.

when you rearrange items and you try to move an item into an empty slot it crashes saying undefined method error.
When you rearrange the party and select a character then deselect the cursor stays there.
when you try to select the skills for any character other than Terra it sez undefined method "Height" for nil class

I'm trying to see if i could fix any of these but i got loadsa questions

Dear Harrybo21. Just because a thread does not have a post from its author for 8 days does not mean it is dead, nor does it mean you should use annoying words like "coz". Wait for an update, Dargor has been VERY informative of his progress. If he stops working on this, I'm sure he will let everyone know.

As I previously said, this project is not dead. I'm working on a bigger project with Campus Ubisoft. I'm working on it 40 hours a week. I don't have enough time to work on the SDK right now but I gave my word, this project will be completed.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to release another demo by the end of the month. However, the project with Campus Ubisoft ends in a couple of weeks (in 6 or 7 weeks I think) and then, I will have a lot of free time!

I'm glad to see there are still people who are interested in this project, and I understand It's been a while since I started the SDK. You will not be disappointed to see the final result.

Thank you very much! I appreciate.

And now, a tiny little update!
I have been able to make a 100% functional Blitz system!
I have also been able to add animated backgrounds to battle animations (magics like Pearl/Holy have an animated background when you cast them).
And finally, I added battle backgrounds animations like the Ghost Train Roof and the Raft.

Because IMO Final Fantasy 6 is the best Final Fantasy game to date. I mean were else can you see a world almost get destroyed by an insane clown?

What the... This post is 16 months old! Damn, December 2006. :crazy:
Anyway, I'm making progress with the battle system, especially with the battle commands.
The SwordTech command is works great and I'm now working on the Steal/Capture command!

Well, if you use this sdk, you will only have features from FFVI and FFVIA, including a couple of new features and RPGXP features. So, yes, you can make a totally new game but you will start with the CMS, CBS and other stuff from FFVI.
And as I said before (see first post), the SDK will include a module system that will allow you to enable/disable features such as the CBS and more.
