Final Fantasy VI SDK - Going Social!

You mean, for example, Fire Rod casting fire when used as an item or the weapon casting the spell while attacking?

Anyway, both of them are doable through common events tagged to an item but I'll script them.

EDIT: I'm now starting to rewrite the battle system, the next updates will mainly be related to that.

EDIT2: I see that the new espers make you learn some new magic abilities! If you have informations on them, I'd like to know more about them please.:please:
 
Okay. I know for a fact that Diablos teaches Gravity, I seem to remember Gilgamest teaches Quick... And I can't remember the rest.

I'm still missing four espers, so I'll get back to you.
 
OK, if you have any savefile at the end of the game with almost everything, I'd like to have it. I don't have time to play the game once more and it would be pretty to me.
I'm planning to make a FFVIA add-on for the SDK:p
 
I made a crappy rip of the World of Balance, well not that crappy but anyway. Yes I'd like to see it! Any things you can share is useful! :thumb:

im looking forward to this, mostly because i really want the esper system in my game, and this will save me alot of trouble trying to figure it out myself/requesting it
 
Update!

Sorry to keep you waiting so long, here's an update!

  • I have added espers, items, skills from FFVIA into the database but the new enemies/bosses are still missing.
  • The battle algorithm is 99% completed.
  • All enemies from FFVI (hp/mp/strenght/standard AI/ect.).
  • The battle timing is also working fine.
  • Haste/slow effects.
  • Random spell casting with weapons!
  • Skill learning through equipment.
  • Some others I forgot. (Minor things)

I still have to make scripted AI both for enemies and actors (Umaro).
I will start working on battle commands and special skill effects soon.

That's not much for an update but I'm working hard on this part, this is my first battle system attempt so... :p

anyways (now for the obligatory) this is a cool system hope to see it finished soon. I could sure use some of this stuff in my game.... but I'm sure every other post said that as well.

I see you started a ffV SDK too... honestly that is awesome. Perhaps one day people will start making an FF VII SDK -GASP- or even an FFX SDK -SHIVER- or ... FF XII SDK -GOD HELP US ALL!!!!-
they all seem rather possible without the actualy 3d graphics and minus the battle system of FFXII... I guess an rmxper can dream...
