I was looking around a bit latly and i found on youtube a movie of ff 7 FOR ps3 ???
It said tech demo ..
does that maen it wil never come or ??

FF7 wasn't a really grea game , one of the reasons where the bad graphics .
(but thats defenly gone now )

I hope not.  We don't need anymore milking of the series.  If they HAD to redo one, it should be 6.  But I'd rather them stop with the remakes altogether.

yeah that was just a tech demo... it came out like in 2005... or was it 06? cant recall. as of now theres no working on a remake but they could easyly be lieing

Within the last month a petition with an ungodly amount of signatures was passed to SquareEnix to remake FF7 for PS3. We'll see what comes of that (LOLNOTHING.)

On one hand I wouldn't mind a remake.  I enjoyed FF7, and would love to see it with better graphics.  On the other hand, if they do remake a Final Fantasy game, I rather it be one i really liked, like FF8.

If they remade FF7 from the ground up, like they've done to some other recent Final Fantasy's, and add more content (possibly some of the shit that they needed other mediums to include!), I wouldn't care as much.

But seriously.  It's not like FF7 is that damn old.  Sure it's two generations ago, but of all the things Square-Enix could be revising?  They've done some smart things and seem to be remaking in order, and I think they should stay that way.  The redid 1 & 2 a few times, 3, and I think 4?  If so I need to get that, 4 was one of my favorite games ever :grin: but to skip 5 and 6 just for 7 seems a little... well it makes the other games look unimportant, and 6 was the blow out game in the series (seven just blew out more several years later).

Besides I never got into 8, I preferred 9 and 10  :huh:

In my opinion FF8 was millions times better than FF7.
FF7 is just too overated, when I played FF7 I expected something great after all the reviews it got but once I got half way through the game my mind was blank I was bored of it, but for some reason FF8 kept me playing maybe because I was curious about Rinoa and Squall (OH YEA) I also liked the characters in FF8 a lot more. The characters I liked in FF7 were Tifa and Cloud, but in FF8 Seifer, Squall, Rinoa, Quistis, Selphie, Irvine, Zell basically I loved the main characters you should have seen the reaction I gave at the end of disk 1 when Squall gets stabbed by those Ice Shards.

So I think FF8 should be remade, but who knows maybe if they make FF7 more interesting then I guess it could be remade but I doubt it would be the "Best FF ever made". I never really cared about the graphics of the games, hell I like FF6 as second best. I played that one till the end until that was only last week O_o

4 DS looks like the best remake they've done, but 6 remade would be teh bestest. 7 remade? They've already milked the name for all it's worth, remaking it would be as pointless as remaking the original star wars films.

Sadly they most likely won't make a remake for the PS3 but look at the bright side, less than a year (11 months) til FFXIII comes out.

Crisis Core is technicly not a Final Fantasy 7 remake,  you play as Zach who served with Sephiroth several years before FFVII, the reason the guy in the trailer looks like Cloud is because Cloud believed himself to be Zach and copied everythink that Zach did even stole his girlfreid Airteth(check spelling on Aireth)  Sorry but the only reason Crisis Core is dubed 7 is because it take place in Midgar and the rest of the FF7 world.

Van, I believe Marcus was stating that Crisis Core covered Yuffie's history, not that it was a remake.

Anyway, I can't say that I'm a huge fan of FFVII. It was just one of those games I could never get into. Plus, I got my fill of emo protagonist from FFVIII(which I did indeed like).

If anything, I'd like to see a remake of FFVI. I still haven't gotten a chance to complete it.  And, the opera scene would be so fuckin' kick-ass in 3D with a real opera singer, and everything. *Sigh*

I'd also like to say FFIX would be a good candidate for a remake, but it's not old enough. Plus, there's no way you could improve on the perfect.  :grin:

Square Enix are in the business of making money and Final Fantasy 7 remake would make the most money so I think it's highly likely within the PS3's lifespan.

If FF13 and 7 remake were released simultaneously I'd have it a bet 7 would be more profitable.

Well, when I think about it, not about the game, but the money it'll produce, then I would quite like an FFVII remake. If only to breathe more life into the pile of crap that is the PS3. I love me a good-spirited three-way competition.  :wink:

ozma imperfected that game. that stupid bouncy ball was a pushover compared to the big big bosses in ff7 and ff8. not at all satisfying to defeat it
