Ethereal Dreams

Wow! *feels so flattered and speechless*

Maybe we should make an official support banner... But---*finds the creativity cool* lol

And I'm glad the dock is better. Alright, I feel totally motivated to work this morning before work!

Oh by the way, what program do you guys use to draw those tilesets? I've been looking at Twin's stemix spriting tutorials and was thinking of trying myself sometimes.

I use Adobe CS2. But really, any art program that can use a pixely brush is good. I just have a fondness (and a $800 commitment) to my precious adobe.

Ah wewt, I have that too. :) How many tilesets have you guys made so far anyhow? Seems like hard work since almost all of it are original.

I have so far made...*thinks* 5 tilesets? Well....maybe 6...but one is only most of another with some added things since they're both low economy towns. (But there's no pumpkins in Geja! yay pumpkins)
Time....they can take weeks. But I usually go at them off and on, so my time spent on them isn't that accurate.

Really, it's a terribly tedious and time consuming pass time that, although sometimes is fun, borderlines on sheer annoying. (worst part is just thinking of WHAT you want to put on that set) So I always work on it for a couple hours, then switch over to working on sprites or artwork.

I'm such a lazy person though. lol I'm probably not the best to ask about the whole thing. *laughs at herself* But really, any questions you have about it, I'd be happy to try and help over PM.

I wonder if that long ramble even made sense. n.n'

Aye, I currently just edit a tileset here and there and it's already a huge headache; can't imagine what it would be like having to create every single thing from scratch. :| Its result is definitely something to brag about though.

*brag brag brag* lol But seriously, thanks. n.n I'm happy that they're well received. The 'all original' thing was one of my biggest worries.

I forgot to comment on this project once I've played the demo posted.

'Tis a great game. The maps look like that of a colored pencil sketch, making it look unique and artistic. The music is also good (love the battle theme) and the edits to the status system makes this a little different than other RPGs (at least by my RPG-playing experiance).

So overall, keep up the good work.

Thanks for the better "Ethereal Dreams" banner!! (It made mine look plain so, I had to make mine alittle more attracting but then it got big ='( ) On the other hand! =) I cant wait to play 2.0!

Of course he will. :p

Oh yeh, I've been looking around at some PSP drawing/coloring tutorials and etc., was just wondering, how do you guys do your coloring/shading? I'm really fond of its style.

I have to go to work pretty soon. But I'll try to make up a tutorial sometime. Though Racheal and I both colour a smidge bit differently. n.n

Since I'm posting. n.n Miss Mya (yeah she's not on this site.) has finished up our world map battle background!

And also, the full version of the new art featured in my new signature banner.
It's a character that won't get introduced for some while. But he is my most favourite character of all! (who cares if he only gets two or three scenes)

Racheal also finally gave me the script I pestered her for wanting. It's hard to take a screenshot of it, but now if Darin stands around he's resort to a breathing idle animation. When you move he'll resort back. I think it adds a nice little flavour, but it means more work for me. lol

Hopefully we'll have some more updates after the weekend. (unlike last LAZY weekend)

I love the artwork. One question: Why is there a black, silver-rimmed circle on the battler?

Keep it up, I could use those chins to stab someone with. :P

I won't say much on that circle. Other than it's 'hopefully' going to be implemented into the battle system. I'm not going to say how, I'd rather it be a surprise. And at the same time, if it doesn't work out for this demo, not disappoint anyone. (or if it doesn't work out ever at all......not have to take back anything) n.n

Yes, my pointy razor blade chins of doom and destruction. Be careful what you say people, or I'll send Ethereal Dreams character after you, chins extended. (it's much to late to form sensible responses.)

EDIT: I made the colouring tutorial that Reives asked for. If anyone wants the link, PM me for it. Since it's not on this site I don't think I can post the link.

Thanks Lust Dragon. Yeah, the demo is short...but that's just because resources take so darn long. <.<'

This morning...i attempted to make a boat. I think it came out rather decently.

I had it pointier at one point..but it looked kinda strange for some reason. Thanks though. Maybe I'll make other boats pointy in the future, but this guy just looks better a little flat.

Thank you for viewing
