DARK KNIGHT

nooooooooo they can never recast him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOOOOO that'd ruin it!!!!!

I mean, just have the joker be like, a little cameo, you barely see him. He doesn't say anything. He's orchestrating, behind the scenes. Don't make him a lead enemy anymore. No one'll be able to top Ledger's performance. That's like recasting someone instead of Al Pacino in a Godfather movie.

I don't know about the Joker, but I could kind of see Depp playing the Mad Hatter... of course, I never really like him as a villain anyways...

But yeah, I think they should just kind of lay the Joker to rest... god, it really sucks that Ledger died.  The Joker is Batman's most important enemy, and now they can't really do him any justice after Ledger's performance.  :'(

Personally, I'd like to see Bane as the next villain... possibly Anarky.

maybe Jonny could be the Riddler Chris Nolan wants.
This time around he'll prolly be more of an intellectual equal to Wayne/Batman, thus making him an adequate villain

johnny depp makes a halfway decent good guy (i actually sort of liked that headless horseman movie) but he makes a SHITTY bad guy so i would much prefer someone ELSE for riddler

well atleast it wont be jim carrey!!!!!!!!

I remember saying I didn't like Batman Begins, but when I saw The Dark Knight yesterday night I thought the film was FUCKING BRILLIANT

This film was awesome and the joker fucking ruled, Heath Ledger died making the best film ever =(

I'm going to have to see this film again or I'll never forgive myself =D

This better not be another Bazonga, because I'm going to see it tonight. ;)

I have some high expectations. Shame Heath died, I guess it's the brightest candles that burn out first.

I just hope that they won't have another Joker for at least 10 years from now.
Ledger's Joker was too perfect to beat, and I want to memorize it for a long while.

God bless you there, Heath.

I finally got a chance to see this (All the theaters showing it in my area were litterally RESERVED.  ALMOST 12 THEATERS SINCE IT CAME OUT >.<), and after watching it to words came in mind:  HOLY.  FUCK.

It was just INCREDIBLE!  The way it was all layed out, one second you thought one thing was going to happen, but the exact OPPOSITE happend, and there was always a part that seemed like the end, but was it?  Hell no.  This movie was so fucking incredible, words can't describe it.  It is a damn shame that Heath Ledger died.  He was AMAZING as the Joker, and he didn't get out of character once.  The one thing I disliked about this movie, and I think some one mentioned this already, was Bruce's "Batman Voice".  Other than that, I'd have to say this movie was almost perfect.

You know, I've heard just about the same thing about Dark Knight -- that is, "go see it, Miek. Go see it now." I was sort of anxious when I found out that they were casting the Joker as more of a "sad clown" than the giggling maniac I grew up watching on WB, but apparently the performance was magnificent.

I guess that's a good thing -- it was the very last role for Heath Ledger to play, so I'm happy that his last performance is so widely loved.

All of this is hearsay, though. I have to go see it myself. I simply hafta. There's an IMAX in the mall in Othertown (fine it's West Edmonton Mall, happy!?) so I'll plan on seeing it there.

And if they don't have Dark Knight playing in the IMAX, my question to them will be "what the fuck?"

Was the Joker portrayed so perfectly that it was worth Heath Ledger's life?

Hellz yes.
If what you are implying is that The Joker "killed" Heath, then you are sadly wrong.  I hate people who say that he was "lost in the role" and the "joker drove him to his death".

Not personal Prex...just not sure what you're saying :P

...I'd better go see it again, because I didn't like it at all.

I liked that the joker was creepy as hell, but I hated batman, and there were way too many throw-away characters....And it wasn't like Harvey Dent turning evil was some big plot development, I didn't like him either.

a friend of mine had your exact same opinion.

and i'll tell you what I told her:

"you are officially no longer allowed to have valid opinions about any movie ever released, ever, for the infinity of time. thanks and good night".

then i totally made out with her and touched a boob.

............. no i didn't but that would have finished off the story nicely.
