Which movie can be better than this masterpiece?

This has been the best movie I have ever seen! The "magic trick" was awesome. But still,
the Joker is still there and well Ledger isn't. I wonder who can play the Joker as good as
Heath?

the fact that they went to such lengths to keep Barbara'd face hidden from view says to me that they intend to include her character as a major player in a future movie(dont ask my logic idgi either!). now that, to me, poses a unique question: should they choose to have Babs in the next(or any future movies if they make them?), will she be/become batgirl and if so, what of robin? I think it would be an interesting twist on the typical batman formula. as much as i love robin, i dont think that a young boy dressed in bright primary colors, living with a playboy millionaire would fit in much with Nolan's considerably darker interpretation of batman. thats not to say that liberties can't be taken... i mean look at two-face. of course batman doesnt need ANY sidekicks, but I like them so
idk, just thinking out loud in text!

also im sad because i found out that the watchmen trailer was attached to this flick but i missed all the previews and shit ;_;

i got there early SPECIFICALLY FOR the watchmen trailer and they didnt even fucking show it. i was really fucking pissed for like 30 seconds until the movie started and then i was lost in bliss

i youtubed it after and it's a pretty neat trailer but not as special as i had hoped

i totally didn't even think about the girl being batgirl, i seriously didn't even think about it. I was just like, "what, the girl doesn't matter to her dad???? lol
but she seemed pretty damn young so i doubt they're going to do any batgirl/robin shit. hopefully ever :/
(though I like batgirl better than robin, she isn't as much of a queeb)

@Venetia: Ra's Al Ghul was actually played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins, and he seemed pretty dead by the end of it.

Al Ghul was still alive. If you remember, Bruce bumped into an odd, somewhat portly young gentleman at a party, surrounded by guards. It was pretty obviously Ghul, revitalized by the lazarus pits.

it was like a 10 second long scene so it was probably pretty easy to miss, but i was on the lookout for it :3

I just got back from the movie and OMGITWASTHEBESTFUCKINGMOVIEIHAVEEVERSEENINMYFUCKINGLIFEOMGITISSOGOOD!!!!1!!

!

God, I thought it was going to be horrible when I first learned that Heath Ledger was going to be the Joker, but he turned out to be the most badass villain I have ever seen in a movie.  It really sucks that he died, though, because I don't think anyone can really measure up to the standard he's set as the Joker.  I actually don't want to see anyone else play the Joker ever again...

Harvey Dent was also pretty amazing.  I like how they didn't make him a villain when he turned into Two Face, but they made him more like a corrupt hero.

Also, the "magic trick" was awesome/grotesque/hilarious.  I don't know if anyone's noticed, but that's a pretty hard combination to achieve.

Oh, and I am definitely going to see it again soon.

Awesome Bro

See, all you needed was a British actor to play batman and you was right as rain.

Great movie! But it takes a lot more for me to want to watch a movie twice over at the big screen.

Holy shit, really?! TOTALLY missed that. Apparently Senator Patrick Leahy is also in that party scene, since he's a Batman fan...

Wasn't Heath Ledger Australian...?

EDIT: Ah, never mind my ignorance... too early for me.

Oh, sorry, I read Joker instead of Batman for some reason. >.<  I is tired...

I'm not the biggest on Batman lore but seeing some of the things some of you are dropping here about other villains, I kinda want another one made. I think Freeze would be a bad idea...Arnold pretty much fucked any chance of a serious Freeze role. I think the biggest potential lies in Two-Face still being alive and getting together with some other villain.

The Riddler would be a bad idea...unless Jim Carey signed on again...then maybe. I just figure they won't want to reuse some of the villains from recent movies like Bane and Poison Ivy. But they used Two-Face so who knows.

All I'm saying is it could end it here(although it most certainly isn't) and I am satisfied, but if another rolls around I'll be there to see it.

the hell are you talking about jim carrey was AWFUL as the riddler.

in fact the only GOOD villains were nicholson, devito (i liked him actually) and the recent ones from begins and the dark knight. The rest were shit.

Dude, go watch the "Heart of Ice" episode of Batman: The Animated Series. There's a reason it won an Emmy. Freeze can be done very well.

I actually hated the Jim Carrey Riddler. It seemed like he thought he wasn't going to get a chance to play The Joker, so he basically turned Riddler into a dumb version of The Joker.

I hadn't thought of Poison Ivy initially...she could work, but you would have to make major changes to her to work with the Nolan continuity. Ditch the green leotard and "controlling plants" thing, but keep the poisoned lipstick. Make her some badass assassin seducing and killing CEOs of companies that are polluting the environment. Maybe she'd even target Wayne because of something the company did.

The Riddler is supposed to be a fairly composed sort of fellow, very droll, very witty, but in an acerbic sort of way. Carrey just made him into a loon.

Mr. Freeze is supposed to be a little subdued, and very sad. Arnie just made him look like a deranged mini hulk.

Poison Ivy admittedly is a big bitch so her character wasn't portrayed so bad in Batman & Robin. She's supposed to be really in love with plants, but she's not superhuman and she can't like, force them to do whatever she wants. She just has some tricks up her sleeve with a floral theme.

Bane is really awesome but IMO I think he was destroyed too thoroughly in Batman & Robin. Everyone knows him best as being a big hulking brainless zombie sort of thing so that'd be hard to pull of making him a main villain.

I'd L-O-V-E for them to do Clayface, I always thought he was so bitchin. He was one of the few Batman villains that actually had "superpowers". He wasn't even particularly deranged, outside of his hatred for the people who made him a freak, and the hatred for himself.

I'd also l-o-v-e to see Ra's and some Lazarus Pit action, but I doubt that'll happen.

I wish they'd shown Harley Quinn, though, she was always my favorite Batman character for some reason. I think mostly because she was just a normal woman with daddy issues so bad she kept running back to the maniacal Joker. No chance that'll happen in the future, now, thanks to good ole Ambien :(

Anyway, I love Batman villains. Batman himself barely speaks, and is very cut and dry, but the villains make him special, because they're all so fucking crazy in their own, very dark ways. I hope they keep up this momentum with these movies; they're doing an excellent job.

wow so many people saying that this was a good movie, my flatmate watched it a few days ago and said it was average, and the people he went with all thought it was bad...
