Yeah I don't understand how anyone could not enjoy this movie; they must hate all comic book movies or something. In my opinion TDK was wayyyyyyy better than Hulk, Iron Man, Spidey, etc. Best movie I have seen this year.

I thought Iron man would be hard to beat, but this movie grabs Iron man by the hair, brings it down to its knees and... er, anyway, you get the picture.
Best movie of 2008!
I went with my friends on the 17th at midnight, the place was full (the tickets were sold out, like, 2 days in advance). Everyone thought it was AWESOME. I was apprehensive when I learned Heath Ledger was to play the joker, especially after seeing the trailers. I've always pictured the joker maniacally laughing like in the animated series, but Ledger did a perfect job for this continuity.
A was just a bit disappointed they brought in Two-Face so quickly, the last thirty minutes felt like the beginning of Batman 3.
I was also disappointed with the return of the Scarecrow (he was never caught at the end of Batman 1, was he?), I don't get why Cilian Murphy returned for a 2 minute scene. They could have at least used him later onto get some analysis of the Joker's mental state.
Finally, about the next Batman villain. I read they were interested in the Riddler. David Tennant wanted to play the role too. It would be amazing if it could happen. Catwoman, seeing as she's batman "true love" needs a comeback too.

Huh you know I never even thought about Catwoman. Since Bats just lost his childhood love, he's gonna be on the rebound, and the next movie'd be devoid of romance (however strange), and thatd be the perfect hole for catwoman to come in and fill.
I didn't really like how totally schizo Tim Burton made Selina Kyle in Batman Returns. I mean she's a crazy ho, but she went from being a little sadistic for the first 7/8ths to totally mentally spent in the last eighth. I also don't like The Penguin much; Catwoman could have played off a much better foe. She has so many origins, from a flight attendant with amnesia, to a fly-by-night hooker, to Falcone's daughter, to just a secretary trying to get back at her duplicitous employer ... They could easily pick any of these and go to town.

But yeah, I get what you mean. I know a lot of people who thought the Scarecrow was a horrible villain in the first movie, but I always thought he was fantastic. It might be because I'm kind of biased since 28 Days Later is my favorite movie, but I would have loved to see a little bit more of Scarecrow.
Although, now that I think about it, wasn't a vaccine found for his fear toxin? So really he would be kind of pointless after that... but still.
Well, this isn't on the subject of the off-subject-ness, but Ledger stole the show. It was an incredible performance. A PERFECT Joker performance. Personally, I don't think the movie would've stood out without him.
Rumor has it Johnny Depp is in line for the next Joker role. I'd love to see the result of that, but I doubt it'll be able to top Ledger.
