can't get this right atm because my computer is not very good and I need that 20gigs of space for Situations but when I get a legit desktop this is the first thing I'm getting. not doing the console version, partly because I like mods and updates, and partly because my xbox is in another house right now

speaking of modding, how is it? I don't expect the modding community to be huge by this point since it's relatively new, but does it have potential, or is it practically nonexistent?

I've legit never played a bioware rpg before so idk what to spect

So far, it is just some minor game play tweaks. There's also a teeth whitening mod, a face change for Leliana and Morrigan, and some other minor mods. Many potential modders like myself are stuck at the moment, due to not being able to properly zoom in the toolset.

Once Bioware patches this issue, you can expect to see quite a few campaign mods.

I'm an Elf Mage and I have it on the PS3. :3 I just got up to... Lothering? I'm trying to help people out and talk my way through things but of course there are people who insist on attacking me. Oh well, it's pretty easy to obliterate them ~

haha

Zevran started flirting with me, to which I replied, thats flattering but you're not getting anywhere, and I got a major -7 disapproval :(

really? i didnt think you could enjoy dude on dude lovins in the game, or i heard you couldnt
but i figured that if it'd be anyone it'd be zevran

who're you trying to bone then, morrigan? thats who sophist is pursuing
or are you a chaste and pure grey warden

by the way, bring LOTS AND LOTS of poultices and shit for the Anvil of the Void. The boss is fucking impossible (i had no lyrium potions or healing shit, all I could do was kite and wait for my mana to regen :x)

morrigan only likes asshole
its easier to bone leliana
im also wondering if i can do the old chick

oh yeah
id raise my eyebrows suggestively if i could

morrigan's in the 90's in approval of me but whenever i fuck up a convo with her i always reload and try again. plus i did her special quest and found her special item. but yeah leliana is crazy-easy to win over

you can't do the old chick but if you do have a relationship she'll eventually harass you over it.

when she moves her arms around you see that they're barbie: no nip's. there's this one seducer demon though that is only wearing tiny gold pasties. and she rubs her own boobs in mid-conversation.

here! i got a screencap (sorry, not of the tit rubbing)

Finished the Elf village, Redcliffe, All the side missions in Denerim, Orzammar (jesus that took forever). Finished Alistair's special quest, incl. Wynne's, Morrigan's, and Leliana's. Al has confessed his undying love for me (oh hoh can anyone blame him, i have to beat them off with a stick sometimes). He and Morrigan and the doggy are at 100 and everyone else except the Qunari or the Dwarf are in the 60's-80's. The Dwarf I'm working on; the Qunari, I've given up on, as I'm just not evil enough to suit his fancy.

Speaking of the Dwarf, he's freaking awesome. He randomly will drunkenly hit on me or else accuse me of sleeping with his wife. Then he falls over :x

Oh and when you're boinking Al, and you have both he and Wynne in your party, you get some really adorable cutscenes between them, where she's offering him advice on where babies come from and him giving her hypotheticals about how to pop the question (to my char), as it were.

Right now I'm doing the fracking Urn quest. Holy shit this is a long motherfucking quest.

I think I've detected a theme here. Are none of you used to longer games? And by longer, I mean games that take significantly longer to play through than a standard RPG. They don't make them much any more, though, and put more effort into other portions of the games instead.

i only bitch when i have to be in a single place longer than I fancy. if i'm on a SINGLE mission for 2+ hours, in the same location, i start to get poopy.

but the grail quest, once i figured out what the hell to do, ended up being rather enjoyable after I passed all the stupid idiot dragon worshippers. the big dragon fight is crazy hard, not as hard as Flemeth, though I think I tackled that at too low a level :x. took me like 30 minutes and i used probably like 50+ healing poultices and lyrium flasks after wynne ran out of juice a thousand times. luckily i made 99+ of them >_>

the puzzle as the 3rd trial for the grail quest was a dick until i realized that you had to just move a person along one square at a time >_>.

about to go cure the arl~~~~~~

Alright WELL
So I did female City Elf, Rogue, with specializations in dueling and assassin. I was lv 20 by the end. I had all the possible party members. All but Sten were above 80 in the relationship meter, and Al, Morrigan, Wynne, and the dog were all at 100.

In the end, I supported Anora to be queen. I had Al do the Dark Ritual with Morrigan (what a weird scene, and his face was this humorous mix of being turned on and also freaked out). And, I took Loghain's head.

This ended up giving me the ending that everyone kind of parted ways, Mor fled off with her fetal old-god bastard, and Alister and my char decided to re-found the Grey Wardens, living a blissful life in sin.

I was pissed about the information in regards to Orzammar--I'd had Harrowmond assume the throne, and it said he died of stress or some shit and they tried to piece back together the forge, failed miserably, and then suffered generations of strife to come. >:| i picked the nice king, damn it >:|

What was pissing me off in the final hour was the fact that no one was feeding me any new conversations or information. I'd persuaded Al to fuck a witch and there was no option to broach the subject. None of the other characters had any opinions on the whole giant-army-of-evil-dudes-ganking-you situation. And fighting the dragon was like, stupid easy. Sure, it did a lot of damage, but I just saved the mages for the last battle, and they whupped on it while I shot it with the ballista as it sat there looking angry. And a dragon as the last boss, that doesn't talk to you at all, or give you ANY information, AT ALL? :/ lame

I even sat through the credits for 10 minutes, expecting atleast some final summary or something, until I realized it was on a continuous loop.

And so many questions ... the forefront of which was, why did Loghain act the way he did? He was a grand champion and everyone kept telling you about what a great guy he was in the past, and then suddenly, and for no reason, he gets all paranoid and evil?

I assume that, if they make a sequel, the Dark Ritual and Morrigan will play a large role, in some way. Perhaps you'll play as the old-god kid.

If you're playing a dude, do you get to be the seed for the old god, or do you have to have Alistair do it?

Is there any possibility that she sticks around or does she always leave, no matter what?

What the hell is your ending like? Do they just follow you around after everything? Or do you follow them? or?

Despite my bitchings about the last hour though, it was a really good game, and now hopefully that it's out of my system, I can get some work done >_>

Yes, you can do the ritual with Morrigan. If you are romancing her, she will tell you that she loves you, but will leave anyways. If you have her ring equipped that she gives you, which is supposed to be able to connect you both wherever you go, you feel her "regret about her choice of leaving you" through the ring. The ending gives you the option of saying that you will pursue Morrigan. It sounds as if Bioware will be doing what they have done with Mass Effect 2 and allow your save to dictate how the game will start.

As for Leliana, she eventually leaves you after a couple months of the relationship. If you did not romance her, she goes back to kill the chick that betrayed her. If you choose to sacrifice yourself to kill the Arch-demon and have romanced her, she mourns your death and writes a heart-wrenching ballad that makes her famous. Afterward, she gets a vision from the Maker telling her that she will be reunited with you soon. She then sets off to go somewhere. This is presumably hinting at you getting to play your previous character if you died, through some resurrection ritual or something.

This game is so freaking linear. Why does Bioware bother calling their games RPGs anymore? All they do is add a bunch of stats and loot to a typical action adventure and they think THATS an rpg. WRONG.

Dont get me wrong, its a great adventure game. But its false advertising to call it an RPG.

Look at the so called "sidequests" for god's sake! All they do is place some little trinket in a corner of a dungeon that the main quest requires you to visit anyway. And then theres the sidequests that actually come to you without you having to do anything at all. You just meet some guys while traveling, you kill them and somehow you have completed a "quest".

Bioware is starting to seem to me, the lazy RPG developer. They just LOOOOVE to recycle areas again and again. Just like in Mass Effect. The same "side of the road" area is used over a dozen times. Oh, and just how "epic" can a game be when it only has a small handful of locations to explore?

And further, why bother giving each character a huge skill tree, when the damn game just doesnt have enough content in it to make even a third of it useful? Take crafting for instance. Yeah, its great that you can make your own potions and traps, but considering EVERYTHING in the game is in severly limited quantity...you wont be making much. Eventually you run out of monsters to fight, chests to open and plants to harvest.

I wouldnt call this game shit, Id call it a fun action game with a bunch of bullshit rpg stuff tacked on just to make it seem "epic". Fuck Bioware. I hope bethesda buys them out and the two combine their talents to make a real rpg. One with freedom AND a good story, not just one or the other.
