I still can't see where the difficulty is coming from, I can beat the dungeons very easily, and so can alot of others, but oh well, the player is always right I guess XD

I'll see if I can make two difficulty settings for the game, so things can be easier. If not I'll just add a option at the begging where if you choose easy, I'll just give you 5 extra levels to start off with, lol, which will more or less make you invincible as you only come out of the dungeon right now at lvl 4 :P

Hey, I enjoyed what part of the game I was able to see, which was pretty much just the intro >_<;

As soon as I entered the forest the game lagged to the point where it was unplayable, even when I ran game.exe on either high or real-time priority. I did have some other small programs running in the background, but with a 3.0ghz processor and 2 gigs of ram it shouldn't lag  :shock:

I don't know what's causing it, I'll probably try running it again soon with no programs running in the background, but I have a feeling slow computers are going to have a lot of trouble running the game.

Did anyone else get this lag? It didn't start until I went to the forest.

Anyway, from what I saw it looks like you've put a lot of effort into this game, good job. I'd just like to see the rest of it  :huh:

I've had a few reports of the script blowing up sometimes or something, but that only happened once, and it dosn't reoccur, I've never heard of lag though, I don't use any flashy map scripts, so idk what could be causing it.

i hope it dosn't happen again x.x

Tried again, nothing running in the background, used up 100% of my cpu =/

The game ran perfectly on the world map and the house at the beginning...but lagged in the forest and at the dock. The lag in the forest was much worse.

Every other RMXP game I've played runs fine, maybe my computer just doesn't like one of the scripts, or maybe my computer is just getting old, it's over 4 years old now.

Anyway, this is just one computer, don't worry about it unless other people start saying they're lagging too.

ahhh, what a shame, I'll look into it, it might be becuase of the out line text script, Shadow said that it lagged him when he used it, but it doesn't seem to really bother anyone else.

To be honest, I've actually been watching this game for a while now just never had time to actually download the demo. I am downloading it now though, can't wait to play it.

EDIT:

I played a little bit of the game, I got to the part where you make Miho go home while you investigate more, and then I died =/. The game was fairly fun though, I'm not sure if I downloaded a previous version or not I just downloaded the one thats in the downloads spoiler, but I found quite a few errors, nothing that didn't allow me to continue playing though. If this is the most updated version I could send you the errors I found via PM or I could post it here, I took the liberty of writing down the errors I found for just encase purposes.

I'll continue playing later though, but overall so far so good  :thumb:

I love the fact that you have the continue to load during game over, saves the trouble of having to return to the title screen and all that jazz, smart thinking . With your permission I'd like to borrow that idea =]

I'm happy you enjoyed it! :D and of course, I actaully just made that game over in order to cover up the evented title glitch, where when you return to start menu you don't actually go to the evented one :P

The one in the download spoiler is the most updated right now, so I'd be happy if you could send me that bug report. And since too many people is having trouble with dieing, I'm going to definetly get out a version with a easy/hard option, but right now it'll have to wait as I have exams >_> :'(

You really need to work on your spelling! But overall it's fairly good!
Like the others already have mentioned, it's too easy to die...

I too have problems with balancing the enemy. Sometimes I couldn't even beat my own game ^_^

But I sent him a good list of fixed spelling errors that I found from when I started to when I died, I'll play it a little later and see if I can fish out any more XD

just remember to use items during and out of combat guys, lol, and if possible, it's best to always go into any battle with full hp.

a tip, go grab a bunch of bananas from the sack to the right end of Avion's house, they're not much use in battle but you could use them temporarily out side of battle to save charms.

it's by no means unbeatable at all :P but yeah, I'll get to it, just wait a week, and wish me luck on biology tomorrow, it's going to be hell >_>

update and a question, has anyone who downloaded the new demo found the game unplayable or the file not being right?

Idk, it just got reported from the chrono crisis forums, it's weird, anyways, I've updated the main post with the support bar and a new download, I don't care if you play but I'd be glad if someone could download it and tell me it works becuase it seems I can't trust myself anymore x.x

The menu script has been fixed by the amazing Modern Algrebra II XD A huuuge thaks, and with that, I'm updating the download with all the previous little bugs and mistakes fixed and ready to go :D

This is almost the final version, the only thing left is the making of a original save screen, I'll be using Mog Hunter's on this one.

anyways, too those who've never played, I highly recommend it now, and to those that have, it's still worth checking out the enjoy a more perfect version of the game.

I just got my computer out of the shop and I have to re-install the RTP, so it may take a little while.

EDIT: I just thought of something; couldn't you make it so that yo don't need the RTP in order to play?

yeah, and I'm 90% sure it's rtp free, but I can only say that becuase people told me that all I need to do to make it rtp free is to paste all the things I use from the rtp into the graphics folders, which I have, but since I have rtp installed on my computer, I can't test it out, and people who don't have rtp tell me that it won't work, so idk how to do it, lol.

I'll look into it later one though XD

Oh, you can test it out by clicking on Game in the menu, and change RTP 1 from Standard to None - this'll make it as if you don't have RTP. c:
