If I can find a way to do them, I will.

Update - 27th Jan 08

This is a map of the full area of Green Forest so far, with a cruddily drawn representation of what it might look like in the future.

Large file, etc... There's many mapping errors that have been fixed while I took this screenie. Mainly the broken trees.

I hosted it on my old web host, might as well take advantage of it while it's there.

Spent a full hour scripting a system for consumable ammo for ranged weapons, only to find the system already existed. Grrr. But, ranged weapons work fully now, along with a window that shows the ammo you have left.

My current thought is an upper limit of 999 of any ammo in your inventory (but 999999 limit for bank accounts).

The arrows for the "shortbow" cost 10 gold each. The advantage is they are ranged, so can attack from a distance or over obstacles. The disadvantage is of course it costs you money every time, essentially.

Some enemies will drop arrows and other ammunition, or it can be bought from most stores, depending on the level of ammo you require. You may be able to make arrows in the future too.

Test screenshot to show it in action:

I need to change the window's position slightly to line it up with the player window.

Control changes

It's now double-click to attack, to allow for ranged weapons. Otherwise, you'd shoot your arrows when you walked :)

Wow! Very, very amazing, Wyatt!

Just curious, but have you played Ultima Online? Your enlarged forest map just reminded of UO for some reason.

Never played Ultima Online. I've tried Ragnarok, used to play RuneScape, and sort of play Guild Wars (phasing out...) but that's it on the MMO front.

Well, released a demo of a cutscene from the game but nobody seems to have noticed in the thread it's in, it be here: http://www.rmxp.org/forums/http://dev.r ... 19#p374619

Also, 6,000 views! Wheee.

Not sure when the game will actually be playable yet. There's still the same things as before. Server program needs to be done, visual equipment doesn't work (not vital, but important), no auto-updater, server itself needs setting up properly (I have no experience with Linux). Other than that though, the game itself is running fine and on schedule, whatever that schedule may be.

Well, so long as you don't go and abandon this project. If you did for no good reason I'd hunt you down and hurt you REAL bad! Err...Yeah.

Awesome. This looks like the first MMORPG made on RMXP that's going to get completed. (No offense to anybody else).

Keep up the awesome work!  :thumb:

Don't worry, the only thing that'll stop this game is my untimely death. Hmm, better not tempt fate... (Which is ironic, since "Fate" doesn't seem to like this game :) what's even more ironic, is that that ironic statement didn't contain any irony.)

It's ironic that that ironic statement contained no irony because that whole post was filled with irony? Ironic indeed.
Ever find out who sent that E-mail about Vengeance being Atheist? I still suspect 'Fate' using a different email address.

No idea I'm afraid.

I installed TinyPortal on the forums now, and spent ages making a new skin. (It's really just a mod and some colour changes, but I like it). It seems to have worked, since two people registered this weekend  :thumb:

Wow, I'm quite impressed! With the skills system, and the graphical/chatting system, it looks like Tibia crossed with Runescape. Good luck with this.

Updatinationismistics Log

I've been working on an energy temple, of sorts, and it's become quite a large dungeon, with many traps and puzzles. This was origionally going to be a sidequest, to obtain the Obsidian Sword special item. But, I think this deserves to be an actual part of Inquisition.

In game length terms it means Inquisition is an extra chapter long. (Now something like... 35?)

Anyway. Here's the map so far (split up so as to hide hidden passages):

Here's a new screenshot: Hmm, where to go from here...

Lol on your job sig it say's let the game continue but it hasn't even started yet

looking forward to this you are also gonna release your scripts and other stuff ?

I think not but hope so  :tongue2:

Nope, the scripts would be useless to anyone anyway, as they all draw things from each other and are such a mess that editting or changing them would be very difficult. Finding out what they actually do even more so :)

Oh and the sigs meant to mean "let the production of the game continue".

The logo looks very amature. The edges of the V look very pixelated and scrappy from where I'm sitting. The actual 'engeance' looks ok, but it isn't as gripping as it could be. I can't say I'd be drawn in based off of the logo, especially when the words themselves don't strike me as anything fantastically intriguing (sp).

The mapping looks decent though nothing out of this world amazing, all in all it looks promising though.

I thought it was supposed to look kind of rough. I don't know what kind of place you're sitting in, but it looks far from pixelated to me.
