Figured it out. :biggrin:

Was getting a bit overcrowded so I made them stack. # shows the number of each item you own.

Red Cape
White Cape
Sapphire Necklace
Amethyste Necklace


Planned advantages of each?

Just for show at the moment. They're supposed to be quite rare but I think the numbers are too low.


And item50 has no mouseover.

I have 388 Melee exp and 666 Constitution exp.
They're both at level 20.

To discourage cheating, and to stop rich people just getting huge levels in const and nothing else, you have to win one battle per level raised. You still have the same exp, just to actually gain each level you must win one battle each.
 
The Fire Caverns are now fully complete (well, the first seven rooms, there's a planned expansion much later on).

The reward is 100% "Fire Orb" (which is replacing the "item dipping" idea; you will use a fire orb with another item and gain a fire item).

Fire cavern enemies haven't been made yet so their graphics are broken, sorry.

The Ice cave will be made tonight probably and will be along the same lines but a bit larger.

Fire orb image is broken, both when you go to pick it up and after you have it.

Also, some of the compass arrows highlight with a rectangle on the bottom of the image like when you mouse over options to talk to people or visit stores, which looks a bit odd on the arrows.

I'm going to miss grinding in the fire dungeon. :sad:

I noticed this the other day, yeah. I'll try and fix it.

I'm going to miss grinding in the fire dungeon. :sad:

The dungeon is still repeatable, just takes a bit of effort now. :p

Well you could have full backgrounds in every screen, so it´s more alive. Maybe something for later?
More sprites, more visual details, background music(not sure if you had that), etc.

Also, I don´t know if I have javascript on, some images and icons are not showing on the website. i will try to fix that.

I don't know if I missed something, but I can't post in the forums and the bulletin boards :S
The forums aren't correctly aligned either . Maybe they're still under construction, but i thought i'd report it anyway.
Also, when you go to the leaderboards for net worth, you can choose to switch to gold, combat level or combat level. (I guess that one is easily fixable)

Beside some of the bugs, I'm enjoying the game. The battles are way more fun than they used to be.
I'd say: keep up the good work!

It's Friday -- I have lots of time to work on Vengeance. Hopefully tonight (if nothing comes up) I have the following planned:

- New enemies
Faeries, rats, elementals, big enemies, small enemies, flying enemies

- New battle groups
Each area will have a battle group to draw from, and some areas will be easy, some harder. This will be tiered with a natural progression

- New items
I have a couple of hundred planned and I'll work away at a nice chunk of them tonight hopefully. They range from useful things to just for show items

- Character sheets
These (http://vengeance-rpg.com/v/action.php?character) will be made viewable to guests so that you can make your signature link to your character sheet instead of the login page.

- Registration
Won't affect you members, but registration will be streamlined and will require ONLY a username and password. No captcha, no security question, no e-mail. Two seconds and you're in the game.

Why is my character picture the same as the monsters?

The ideas: There could be a shop somewhere that will upgrade your weapons and armor, for a price
This shop could also sell unique orbs, like you have the orb of fire this shop could sell orbs that do more specific things such as: An orb that gives a power (that costs mp) that has a chance to instantly kill the monster.
or some thing like that

The second idea: Simple enough, An arena, you can go there, pick a monster to fight, fight monsters and earn gold.
(maybe even wager some gold on your own fight to earn a bit more)
 
From what I see, is the issue with developing a game like this figuring out how to go about making additions, and not really dreaming up the additions themselves? Or does the "how" not really matter?
 
The How is the problem, yes. Especially with complicated systems like trading and whatnot.

Baconfox: I haven't added enemy faces yet. More worryingly though, your HP bars appear in the wrong positions, that's bad. I'll have to try and fix that :/

I'll address your suggestions later if you don't mind as I'm working, but here's some progress/



Registration

The first of today's updates is aimed at getting more new players by streamlining the registration process.
