a fresh breeze

Actually... i like this template... it reminds me of classic Super NES  top down RPG sprites... looks good...
if i didn't have templates already... but Raven you're an awesome artist... i idolize your spriting ability...

@Dean:thank you thank you..you make me blush

@panda: I expect to see some sprites from you on this template! haha

@Me(tm): thanks man..but what do you consider palette correct? I think it's correct when the artist is satisfied with it ;) and you are probably talking about the values or hue shifts..

@xinrua: old style? far from

better chosen palettes, pixeled better on the whole and more detail.

@darksydaz: thanks I loved the sideview sprites you did for samurai ragnarok a while ago..

Clizzz why do you use black outlines? What is that red thing on his back, it looks horrible. Also your white palette needs way more contrast.

LOL, In my experience, Sonata, old pal, old buddy, using the darkest-shade-for-outline method has proven very ineffective and futile, rendering my creations EXTREMELY pasty. But I will take your suggestions on the white pallete, I do realize that it needs more color. And about the red stripe on it's back. It's just a marking that the Grunt's have, it may not be pretty, but then again, the grunt isn't supposed to be pretty. :) especially, the parts where, the mouth compartment opens ...

Well, Clizz, here are my suggestions.

1) Your shading is, sadly, horrible. Use WAY more shading. As is your pieces are flat blobs of maincolor with a tad of shading thrown on.
2) Use better palettes. You could blend some blue into the shadows of that white and it'd be a thousand times better.
3) Outlines. Sonata already mentioned this one.
4) Learn to selout.
5) Again, SHADE SHADE SHADE - nobody EVER said 'I'm sorry, but you shaded this too much for my taste. I like work to be BLAND and TASTELESS'. Not gonna happen.

I don't have much time, otherwise I'd do a quick edit, but for now just stick with the advice.

=o I love you. Marry me.

...
Jk. But seriously, Leo from TMNT, PIMP dude, PIMP.
One thing though; the outlining of his arms are a bit weird... They just look kinda slimy on the outside =s
