What Tutorials Do you Need?

I'd be interested (or could use) a tutorial on how to make XP character sprites work in VX. There's one on how to make XP work in VX, so why not the other way around?

A long time ago, Tana began translating what looked like a very helpful tutorial that had been written in Japanese. See "Lessons from Tana", which I'm avoiding necroposting in.

Tana has long since disappeared from this forum, and the tutorial remains untranslated. Of particular interest was a simplified means of shading characters appropriately - and it seemed to be doable that way in Photoshop.

Could anyone translate that last lesson she started? I'm sure there are people here who do speak Japanese! :)

I would like to ask if someone knows how to change the title image and the title music. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the scripting, but I'm not really good at that. Can someone please help me ?
Thank you very much =)

That's just database editing. It takes like 20 seconds to do. Go to the database, and then the system tab. There you can change pretty much anything to do with the games menus, bgms, etc.

hi,
I wanna know how I import files in rpg maker xp. can someone help me?

There's a button at the top called the materialbase, click on that, select the type of resource you're importing, find it and you're good.

It seems like alot of these "requests" are simple questions that belong in RM support.

There are three tutorials I for one wold greatly appreciate.  In order of preference...

1) Importing a new tileset, and everything that goes along with it.  Specifically the different flags: Passage, 4 Way Passage, Priority, Counter, Terrain. What are they, how are they used, what they mean, and the results you can expect on a map when using them.

2) Creating or even editing Animations in the Animation Editor.  I've tried several times to either edit or create a new animation, only to have it look like crap.  A great big steaming pile of crap.  So knowing how to creae and edit animations, what the various fields mean, what they do, etc...

3) And finally, I've seen all sorts of tutorials, specifically on YouTube, of creating maps using the various included map tilesets, but I don;t think I've ever seen one done with the Farm Village.  I've tried creating a map with it a time or two, and just seem lost... The options are so very limited with that specific tileset.  If only I knew more about importing and creating new tilesets...  (see request number one above.  heh heh heh)

Anyways, thanx.  That's it.  For now...

I can't do anything about your other requests, but I can show you a rather large(ish) map of a village I made using the Farm Village tileset.

The clump of events on the hill is a house. Fully functional.

From what you said, it sounds like you already know how to import tileset images. But as to your other concern - passage, priority, counter, terrain - I think there's one lurking around here, but if there isn't I could whip one up super quick.

I'll be back in a bit with an edit to this post.

I don't think this is the place to beg for sprites. This is for TUTORIALS. Perhaps a TUTORIAL on Spriting Weapons into Characters' hands?
