Tutorial on mapping exteriors of HOUSES. I know I just can't figure out how to make different kinds of houses from the default one. I'm sure I can't be the only one with this problem... right?

It would be nice to have a tut where it show how to take say a screen shot of a game or ripped graphics and organize them into a vx tileset. Thanks

I Dont Know how mouch this is needed. But i could use it alot. I Would like to the change the way you fight in the game. I Would like to have Zelda type of fighting. So you just hit the enemies with diffrent weapons instead of the commen way of fighting there is in RMXP.

Hi,
I need a tutarial, how to work on Poccils Pokemon Starter Kit.
Its hard to use/edit other peoples script...
Also I am not that good at RMXP.

Honestly, look at poccil's documentation. Pretty much everything is covered there. Also, if it isn't, go to his thread at Pokecommunity. (I'm not providing a link because it's a forum)

I know it sounds kinda noobish, but since I'm very new to RPG Maker, it would benefit me greatly to have some kind of guidelines for making balanced stats on both NPCs, PCs, and Items, Weaponry, etc. I've tried to mimic the FF games a lot, but its gotten hard since you really don't know any hard statistics on monster health, mana, etc. Any help would be AWESOME!!!

Trust me, it isn't n00bish. Balancing the stats of charaters, monsters, weapons, armor, and items is one of the most difficult challenges game designers face. Remember, one of the reasons it took so long for them to release SSBB was because ofd balancing issues, and they're professionals. Just decide what kind of difficulty level you want your game to be. Then, make a basic group of weapons, armor, items, players, and stats that you think will be of a similar difficulty. Then, simply do the test battle function with characters facing battles they would face in-game, using items they should have at the level they are, as well as being the recommended level for their monsters. If it doesn't work, just change the stats a little and try again. Fine tuning it may take a long time, but it is certainly worth it if your game ever comes out. Also, if you simply can't balance something, your best bet is to either give it a major downside (or upside, depeding. Something like a "curse" or "enchantment") that will balance it out, or simply scrap it altogether. Remember, balanced games mean happy players.

Blahh, I've had this program for a few months now, and there's still a lot of aspects I'm not understanding. Things that are really elementary, too...

One of the best tutorials I read was Constance's tutorial, which was directly aimed at people new to the system. However, it suffered (in my opinion) from a lack of organization and clarity, especially concerning the higher functions of the system.

I'm still not terribly familiar with switches... and it's not because people haven't explained what they can do, but I'm still confused as to their general purpose. And, from what I understand, that's really basic. So I don't even want to venture into more complex actions until I thoroughly understand the basics.

My perfect tutorial would guide you through the construction of a small game, while in the process, touching upon every basic key area and showing you glimpses in how to expand on ideas (example, when you sprite a house, you know it can be more elaborate or different. That same logic can be applied to switches, events, resources, etc., except, I'm totally clueless on how to do so )

A tutorial on how to make a film kinda bit where you just watch.
A cut scene?  You make an autorun event and use move routes and things to move characters around.  Ask in general support to get more help

A tutorial on how to make the menu image change and where it is (the new game, load game, exit bit).
I believe you would need a script for this which you can request in the script requests forum.

A tutorial on how to make a background for the outside when you can look over the cliffs.
Make your cliffs but then leave space after them and put the top left hand tile in your set in the areas you want the background.  Then go into map properties and pick a parralex (Whats it called in XP?) and there ya go.
- Vince.

None of those really need tutorials...Just go to general questions or whatever it's called.

An alchemy system;

On my XP project, I've made an item that when used starts a sub-quest that spans throughout the entire game - and requires the player to Alchemise certain items to 'rank up' and become a master Alchemist.

I'm probably going to need a script but I thought I'd check.

edit : how to Make an intro before tittle
