Blahh, I've had this program for a few months now, and there's still a lot of aspects I'm not understanding. Things that are really elementary, too...
One of the best tutorials I read was Constance's tutorial, which was directly aimed at people new to the system. However, it suffered (in my opinion) from a lack of organization and clarity, especially concerning the higher functions of the system.
I'm still not terribly familiar with switches... and it's not because people haven't explained what they
can do, but I'm still confused as to their general purpose. And, from what I understand, that's really basic. So I don't even
want to venture into more complex actions until I thoroughly understand the basics.
My perfect tutorial would guide you through the construction of a small game, while in the process, touching upon every basic key area and showing you glimpses in how to expand on ideas (example, when you sprite a house, you know it can be more elaborate or different. That same logic can be applied to switches, events, resources, etc., except, I'm totally clueless on how to do so :tongue
